This apartment encompasses the entire ground floor of the main structure. The sunny kitchen is framed by a brick archway that leads into a large living room with fireplace and two single beds. Prugnolo’s double bedroom, located just across the corridor from the bathroom with shower, has an antique wardrobe and matching dresser. It is very comfortable and it is perfect for a couple with children. Outside the apartment table and chairs to dine 'al fresco'.
Il Casale di Villore is an ochre stone farmhouse, medieval in origin, situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside and enjoys a hilltop position from which the pastoral beauty of the countryside is in full view. After painstaking renovations, Villore’s six apartments are now available for holiday rental, each named after a different type of grape in honor of the region’s wine culture. We invite you to pass your holiday immersed in the rhythm and beauty of the Tuscan landscape. All of the apartments are furnished with antiques and have been decorated by the owner himself who has charmingly combined traditional Tuscan elements with the spaciousness, light and airiness that hallmark modern design.
Hiking, walking and bicycle trails radiate from Il Casale di Villore. Florence and Siena, renown for their art and architecture, are within easy driving distance as is the medieval city of San Gimignano. Traditional Tuscan dishes are on offer in area restaurants and local wineries open their doors to you for tours and tastings.
Our guests are our number one priority and a member of the Villore staff is always on hand to address any problems or simply offer suggestions on how to best take advantage of the beauty of the region. In addition, we are also pleased to organize guided excursions, chef services or cooking class, additional housekeeping and even appointments with our on-call masseuse, guided tours, wine tasting and museums tickets
I have walked this land for many years and each time I still see something new. The time of day or year does not matter. I love music, paint ...that's why I love Tuscany. Here, in this land, rich with history and tradition, my guest will have my suggestions to enjoy a great vacation in Tuscany.
Antonio Pagliai purchased this apartment in 2007
Casale di Villore in Poggibonsi, Italy was an absolutely stunning Tuscan villa! Our large apartment there was rustic (I believe it was built in the 12th century) but well appointed with antiques, original paintings as well as modern Italian furnishings.
Our apartment had three levels plus a lower fourth level which was a small, stocked wine cellar. It could accomodate 8+ people in our unit, but had we been traveling with a larger group, other apartments would have been available for rent at the villa.
Our apartment came equipped with a charming kitchen with carrera marble countertops and sinks, oven, microwave, refrigerator, etc. This enabled us to cook at the villa when we wanted to stay in. There is also a traditional brick oven on the patio outside which was fun for entertaining.
The villa had an incredibly beautiful infinity pool which overlooked acres and acres of grapes, olive trees and lavender bushes. There was also a bocce ball court and ping pong table on the property which was a nice feature for our young children.
I highly recommend Casale di Villore and hope to return with our family in the future.
Despite the beautiful photos, the apartment was even better. It was so spacious and had everything we needed. Antonio is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. I recommend it very highly.
Since you're in the heart of Tuscany, we took day trips (< 1 hour) to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Castellina en Chianti and it was amazing. The digs are fantastic. Even better than a hotel. And of course, Antonio was there routinely to help with ANYTHING. Did I mention he speaks perfect English?
Had a great time. Will visit again.
I totally enjoyed my week at this beautiful property. It was as advertised, clean, well-maintained and fabulous. Antonio was very helpful with surrounding tours. The other guests were delightful. The villa is located in the countryside 7 km from a small town that offered all the conveniences I needed i.e. groceries, freeway entrance, bus stop. The view from the infinity pool was picturesque, hilltop villas, wineries, vineyards and turns out, San Giminano. It was so relaxing walking the area and picking figs and grapes. We rested one day and easily visited nearby hill towns the next. The pizzeria Antonio recommended was outstanding. I highly recommend this property and would return in an instant.
Would have enjoyed an English entertainment TV channel overall wonderful would come back again every year if we could. Family were welcoming and informative about the region. Local wine enjoyable. Kind regards Gary and Paula
Stayed there for one week and didnt want to leave at the end so we just stayed one more night! Antonio is a great host and gives lots of insider reconmendations that you dont get anywhere else! The apartment and the whole surrounding was great and built with love! Splendid views over fields of wine and olive trees, the view from the pool is surreal beautiful! Nice walks in the evening! Close to highlight destinations such as San Giminagno, Florence and Siena! It definetely exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to visit again. Highly recommended! Thank you for a great time Antonio!
Located near the Via Chiantigiana between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti, one of the most historically significant roads in the region, Villore enjoys a hilltop position from which the pastoral beauty of the Tuscan countryside is in full view.
In the middle of tuscany : Florence (North : 33 km) it was the place where the Renaissance grew; Siena (South 28 Km.) famous for the horse race named 'PALIO'; Chianti Area (East) of course, Tuscany’s food and wine culture are of incredible importance and excursions to local wineries and smal villages; Sangimignano (West : 15 Km.) called the 'Manhattan of Tuscany' cause of its medieval towers.
