Fabulous home with an amazing view of downtown Seattle
We stayed at Belvedere House for one week, with our 3 kids aged 11-15. Wow -- this is a fantastic house. The pictures here of the view do not do it justice - the Seattle skyline from this house is amazing, both day and night. And, very cool to watch the ships and ferries, and planes. The house itself is beautiful - 4 full bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, plenty of storage, and updated bathrooms. The master suite is incredible - so luxurious, with more of that view from a little sitting area and a huge bathroom. Kitchen and dining room ready for entertaining, with everything you could want. The kitchen even came with a few basic food items, which was useful. We loved that it was a short walk to a great market with prepared food, plus restaurants and bars, and the free shuttle to Alki Beach. We wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the outdoor space more, but we still got plenty of use out of the hot tub (again, with that fabulous view!). The home is beautifully decorated, with period touches and modern features (and strong wi-fi). It was the perfect home base for day trips to hiking, the islands, and downtown. We loved coming "home" each evening.
We highly recommend Belvedere House for any type of group, and hope that we're able to return!
Tremendous views and well decorated home that truly made a vacation so relaxing and peaceful .
My family of 3 young adult children , my husband and I have made travel together a priority. My children pick the city and I pick the vrbo . This house is our top rated since starting our travels together . Everything was perfect from our arrival to departure . The house is right next to a viewing lookout that charges to look in a telescope which can only emphasize how great the view is from the house . We all enjoyed just sitting and reading while taking in the view . The movie screen tv to watch NCAA March madness or a movie was perfect and sitting in the hot tub all features we enjoyed . We will definitely book again .
Great location and views
Initial concern about being on a busy street was quickly resolved by the spectacular views and quality of the home. Kitchen is very well equipped with more spices and cookware than most homes and every way you would want to make coffee. Overall, a great location for a greater Seattle visit.
Way better than expected!
We loved this! Great for a family getaway or entertaining friends. The view is spectacular and the owners were very friendly and accomodating. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering wanting to stay in Seattle.
Cozy and relaxing.
Perfect for family gathering...amazing views from master bedroom
You can look at this home and say "Wow, look at those views" or "Nice looking place", but the photo's do not do it justice. This is a 5 star Retreat. Seriously the best view of Seattle. Myself and my 3 sisters along with my Mom and niece arrived to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. It is Christmas Time and Ruta had the house decorated for the season. So warm and welcoming to enter this beautiful home with Christmas in the air and music playing throughout the home. The bedrooms are comfortable & the bathrooms are so beautiful...did I mention heated floors in the master bath? We used the Hot tub in the morning and again after a long day in the city. In the morning we heard seals barking thru the fog. At night we could look across at the city lights and marvel that we were really there. I have stayed at many VRBO (Home Away) and this one is at the top of my list. Very comfortable for us. My Mom (80) stayed in the theater room, it has a small bathroom and very comfortable couch, she doesn't do well on stairs. Her comments were she loved it in that room! The windows allowed her to look out "Over the World". We didn't rent a car but rather used Uber & Lyft with great ease. We enjoyed cooking and dining in this house. The kitchen had every pot & pan you could think of, and their serving dishes were gorgeous! We set beautiful tables every night. You will feel spoiled here for sure! It is truly an amazing home with wonderful history. Thanks so much for hosting us in this impressive home.
