About Jessy Martin
I love West Asheville ( the local's Asheville). My favorite past times include hiking, biking, and spending time with my dogs. I love the location of my home and the many bars and restaurants West Asheville has to offer.
Jessy Martin purchased this House in 2008
Why Jessy Martin chose West Asheville
Purchased in 2008, this house was the first I ever owned. I fell in love on the spot and over the years I have worked hard to bring this 1942 house into the new millenium. I purchased the house because of it's amazing location and spacious backyard. Even though it's located on a main thoroughfare it doesn't feel busy in the home and in the backyard.

This house is clean comfortable and cozy with all the modern conveniences.
The property is well kept. The furniture is comfortable and modern. The decor is clean. The atmosphere is friendly. It us literally less than 5 mins to the heart of w Asheville with wonderful restaurants to suit any taste vibrant music coffee shops and creative and artistic shops. Also its location puts it 5 minutes from NC Arboretum and less than an hour to Chimney Rock State Park and horseback riding mountain biking everything outdoors. Loved it and so did our Amstaff Itchy. The host are responsive if you need something but not at all intrusive this is a great place
Rockin’ West Asheville
Neat, clean and well equipped. Owner very responsive when coffee maker failed. Replaced it that day. Very convenient to downtown, River Arts District, breweries, restaurants and the Biltmore Estate. Recommend The Moth. Trivia nights at the brewery and open mike night at micro breweries. Walk the art galleries. Try the downtown Wine Bar. Great restaurants.
We had a great time in Asheville!
The property is very well located and we saw a different side of Asheville. But it is still close to Downtown and the Biltmore. The walkable restaurants like Biscuit, The Admiral and Sunnypoint Cafe were phenomenal! Jessy was a great host and the property was well stocked and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this Rental.
Very comfortable stay
This is a great property, and it really is within easy walking distance of many restaurants and bars in west Asheville. While it is an older home, the owner has decorated it very nicely, with a bit of a mid century modern feel. As it was just my husband and me plus our tiny dog, the home was very spacious, and we didn’t use the upstairs (futon, desk, half bath). The deep bathtub in the full bath was a big plus. We were on a two week road trip, so we made good use of the washer and dryer.
The location was an easy drive to downtown, to the river arts district, and to the Asheville School.
The owner, Jessy, was very nice to work with, and quickly responded to any questions.
I am hoping that we will return to Asheville to see the Chihuly installation at Biltmore. If we are able to return, I would love to book this property again. (While it isn’t the closest to the Biltmore, it is more convenient to most of the other things we would like to do, including revisiting holes in the wall like the donut shop Hole, and the very tasty Taqueria Munoz.)
Goldilocks! Just perfect
Location, size, facilities, responsiveness of owners, price. All spot on
Fabulous location, delightful space
My husband, mother-in-law, preschooler, and I had a wonderful time in Asheville. The home was the perfect size and location. We could walk to coffee shops, a toy store, and the famous Biscuithead. The interior is simple and minimally decorated, which provides a calm and soothing escape from the chaos and busy-ness of everyday life. We will definitely consider renting again for our next trip to Asheville.
