About Sean Lewis
We are from Dallas, Texas and enjoy the people, culture and activities that make Texas such a popular and dynamic State. While we appreciate the Lone Star State, we have loved our many travels, both domestic and international. The opportunity to experience the diversity is inspiring, whether it be the different cultures, landscapes and/or perspectives. With that said, the energy and environment that is Southwest Montana is truly awesome, few places exist where the intersection of nature's wonders & society's cultural footprint (the past & the present) converge with such harmony. We feel privileged to be able to share such an amazing place...
Sean Lewis purchased this Estate in 2009
Why Sean Lewis chose Bozeman
We purchased the property in 2002 and finished construction of the buildings and facilities in 2009 / 2010. The location was the primary inspiration; we were able to enjoy the unspoiled views of the landscape & create a feeling of Old Montana. Yet, a 15 minute drive to town provided all the conveniences. 15 minutes to the ski area did not hurt either... The property has some of the most beautiful views in Montana and the topography of the land is calm and simple, but with character. As you walk around the buildings and enjoy the creek and ponds, you quickly notice the views to the Bridgers and the Spanish Peaks. One is literally "in your face" while the other is a commanding view of distant peaks. The property allowed us (& our horses) the feeling of having full use of not only our 60 acres, but also of our quaint neighborhood community. We knew further development is highly restricted and our view sheds would remain uninterrupted. We continue to appreciate the ability to walk, hike, cycle and/or ride from out our front door...
What makes this Estate unique
The place will allow a visitor to experience the serenity of rural Montana with truly spectacular views and access to as much hiking and biking as one could desire. We often will make day trips to Yellowstone National Park since it's only 1.5 hours away. There are also many stretches where we will go 3 to 5 days without leaving the property. Hiking out the front door, fishing in our trout ponds, exercising in the gym, biking up and down Bridger Canyon, we often find no reason to leave. With that said, we enjoy the ability to be downtown for dinner and then enjoy a leisurely 15 to 20 minute drive back to the property and still have plenty of daylight to enjoy the views.

A very special place
We stayed here for five wondrous days in July 2017. It could not have been better. The house is a gem with enormous views to the mountains. We were in Bozeman for our daughters wedding and lots of family and guests made the trek up to the house. It was perfect for entertaining and everyone who came strolled the grounds, fed the horses and sat by the tepee. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds were lovely and we lacked nothing. Highly recommend this for family vacations in one of the most beautiful canyons you will ever see.
This home is in a lovely area and the home is very nice.
Fantastic stay in Montana
Relaxation and beauty is the best way to describe our stay. The ranch is absolutley beautiful. The nights by the fire, watching the stars were our favorite. Cooking steaks on the outdoor grill, playing pool, and fishing... so much fun. The cats, Salt and Pepper, were our best friends during our stay. So loving and friendly. The horses (Spider, Right On, and Montana) were very friendly. The owners set us up for a professional to come and provide us with riding lessons. Great time (highly recommend). The ponds were fun to catch rainbow trout (catch and release). The Elks were around every night. The beauty of this location is like a painting. Wonderful trip.
Bridger Canyon in Style
The descriptions offered in the profile and other reviews are right on. The style and quality of the lodging and grounds won't disappoint. Coming from flat Florida, we really appreciated the mountain views that surrounded us; the beautiful combination of forest, ranch and mountain views (often including a herd of elk) adds up to a magical experience. We love the low key western feel of Bozeman and the people there are wonderful. There is a good variety of dining to be experienced in town but we were just as content to cook in the beautiful and efficient kitchen. We made enjoyable day trips to Big Sky, White Sulphur Springs for the rodeo, and the Museum of the Rockies, but staying put and reading by the fire were just as tempting. The cats and the horses were an enjoyable element and they all seem to make friends quickly when met a treat or two. We look at our pictures often and definitely hope to return in again.
Epic Montana Scenery
Dos Maria's is as advertised. Our first time to Montana and the property is what we pictured Montana to be. Hay fields, horses and the Bridger Mountains all from the back patio. Deer walking through the yard on the first evening.
Close enough to town but far enough out to experience true Montana.
Sean and Debbie were great hosts! The cabin is rustic on the outside and very modern on the inside. The kitchen was great and had everything you need.
Bring the S'mores and enjoy the fire pit. Great evenings playing pool after long days of horseback riding, 4 wheeling and rafting. Would definitely come back!
Peace & Tranquility on this Montana Ranch
This property is peace and tranquility all rolled into one stunning property. We traveled as a family, including my parents, my husband, children and myself to enjoy a family vacation. We wanted a place to relax and enjoy the Montana country side while still being close enough to enjoy the town of Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park. We arrived to a rain/wind storm that had knocked out the Television service but this was quickly rectified though at this property and surrounding area TV is really the last thing on your mind. We enjoyed being unplugged and enjoying some down time as a family. Between the beautiful landscape, billards table, and hiking trails nearby it was the perfect family vacation destination. We can't thank you enough for allowing us to enjoy a slice of the Montana countryside in this amazing property.
Access to walking and hiking out the back door. Access to national forests. One of the most scenic areas in SW Montana. Bridger range scenic drive is out the front door. Montana wildlife galore.
