About Mickey McLeod
I was born and raised on the south coast of BC. Salt Spring Island became home in 1981 after a visit to my brother Ross who has been here since 1978. He was managing Mansell Farm where I joined him. In 1984 my long time friend Robbyn Scott and I attended a mutual friends wedding and we rekindled our our relationship. In the spring of 1985 Robbyn moved to Salt Spring and joined Ross and I at Mansell Farm. We all put together a big market garden and sold it from our roadside stand as well as at the old school Saturday Market nothing like one of today. Our daughter Metta was born in Aug of 1985 and now lives on the island with her two kids. From the mid 1980's to 1996 I ran a small custom sawmill business on the island providing material for Artspring, Moby's Marine Pub, Creekside, Grace Point Square and many homes. In 1996 Robbyn and I started Salt Spring Coffee which we still own and operate today. We moved our office and production to Richmond in 2010 but our flagship cafe and where it all started is still located in Ganges. I get to travel a lot with my work at Salt Spring Coffee but I must say one of my favorite places is right here on Salt Spring Island. The community is diverse and supportive with some of the best organic food on the planet being produced here. I hope you enjoy Salt Spring Island and Daly Vista as much as we do.
Mickey McLeod purchased this House in 2014
Why Mickey McLeod chose Southern Gulf Islands
Mt Baker Crescent is a hidden gem on Salt Spring Island. With only 10 houses on the street we are tucked in at the end with one of the nicer views. The neighbours are very friendly but like to keep things mellow and quite so being respectful of that is great.

Great location and beautiful accommodations.
This was our second time staying here and it's did not disappoint. The location is fantastic; it's five minutes from town, close to the goat cheese farm, and other great attractions. The owner is extremely helpful and responds to questions quickly. I highly recommend it.
Thank you for the kind review Brent, nice to have you and your family back again.
Glad you had another nice stay.
Exceeded our expectations
The view is beautiful, the place is spotless, kitchen is stocked with everything you could need, the decor is lovely with beautiful canvases everywhere, top of the line appliances. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Thank you for the nice review, Kelly I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Daly Vista.
Hopefully, you can make it back, you are welcome anytime.
It was a great spot.
The property was great with comfy beds.
This well equipped unit has a wonderful view and is a walk-able distance to Ganges. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a Gulf Island holiday....and who doesn't want a Gulf Island holiday? We hope to return to this idyllic spot.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we had everything we needed and will definitely recomm
Great stay at Daly Vista will recommend to family and friends
Thank you for the review Mark. I am glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at Daly Vista.
Fantastic stay, highly recommend!
We stayed in this unit in mid-July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pictures are very accurate (although the unit may even a bit better than it appears in the photos). The location is excellent as it's is very close to Ganges. I did walk to town from the unit, but be prepared for an uphill hike on the way back.
The island is very easy to get around and Mickey's location makes it even easier to get to your destination. Mickey was also very accessible for questions we had (including where to find the delicious cinnamon smelling conditioner in his shower dispenser!), and answered any of our texts in a very timely manner.
While we didn't eat dinner in the suite, it appeared to have everything one would need. The fresh farm eggs and Salt Spring Coffee were an added bonus!
The view from the balcony is exactly as it appears in the photo and was a great place for breakfast.
We would definitely recommend and would book here if returning in the future.
