great place in the heart of the Left Bank

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is clean and comfortable, and is a great price for its location. I have stayed in Paris many times and I return to this apartment again and again. A good grocery store is just steps away from the apartment building's front door, as well as a world-class bakery. The Army Museum (Musée de l'Armée) at Les Invalides is just a short walk. Note that the apartment has no elevator, so people with mobility problems may wish to discuss their individual situation with the property manager before booking.

Perfect location

  • 4 of 5

Perfect location; close enough to walk to almost every major tourist attraction. If you couldn't or didn't want to walk, all sorts of public transportation was near.

A home in Paris.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 7 days in May 2017. We were 2 adults and an 11 year old. The apartment was updated and very clean with plenty of room to stretch out at the end of day. It was great having a washing machine available, allowing us to pack light. The apartment is in a very nice residential area, one block from Metro Duroc stop and is a mile and a half walk to Eiffel tower. Steps from grocery stores, bakeries, a cheese shop, boutiques, and mall. Lots of local shops that didn't show up in google maps so we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed fresh roasted chicken from butcher next door with warm baguettes from bakery across street. I would definitely go back because we felt like we lived in Paris, not like a tourist! The shop owners on our street were wonderful. Yes, stairs to bedroom very steep but we managed.

Very nice apartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five recently stayed for four nights and had an excellent time. The apartment had plenty of room and natural lighting, especially for a Paris apartment. We loved the skylights and our kids loved the steep ladder to the loft.

I had never stayed in this neighborhood before and hope to stay here again. Both Rue de Sevres and Rue de Cherche-Midi have many good shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. I also felt that this was not at all a touristy location, but a place where you are more likely to interact with those who live and work in Paris,. However, it is still not a long walk from some major atractions and super close to the Duroc Metro station to get you where you need to go quickly.

Cool apartment in the heart of the Latin Quarter

  • 4 of 5

Very well located apartment, only steps from two metro stations (Duroc and Vaneau), and from there very easy to get anywhere in the city. If you don't mind walking a bit (which is the best way to appreciate Paris anyway), you cant get to the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre (and tons of other interesting places in between) in about 20-25 minutes. Also, the neighborhood is great, with very good small restaurants (I recommend La Cadole, just around the corner on rue Mayet). The apartment is very well appointed with all the modern amenities North Americans would likely look for. Clean. Comfortable. Spacious enough for a family of four. A bit quirky (the bedrooms are up a rather steep set of stairs -- careful when you go down -- and the ceiling up there is a bit low and on an incline). Still, a really nice apartment all around. Two caveats: first, the apartment is on the top floor of a three-story building, with no elevator, you get a good workout getting up there with heavy suitcases; second, it is located on a busy commercial street, and it can be noisy when the windows are open. If you don't mind that, then definitely go for it. I recommend it highly.

Very nice for our family of 5

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 with kids aged 13, 11, and 7, and enjoyed our 4 night June stay in this apartment very much. The shops on the street are very good - everything you need is within 2 blocks or so. 2 Metro stations are in close proximity. We were met on arrival by the housekeeper Irish, who kindly showed us around, gave us her phone number and left us to enjoy. We cooked several meals in the kitchen, which was completely equipped for us. The apartment had everything we needed. It can be tricky to climb the steep stairs up to the bedrooms, but that is our only complaint, and a small one - we managed well. We were very impressed and recommend this apartment.
