Exceeds Expectations!!!

First class accommodations..roomy, great layout for entertaining, and wonderful art that punctuated the tasteful interior. The house has everything you might need, very comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms and a great kitchen for cooks. The outdoor venues for entertaining are great as well. It is impeccably maintained. It is an easy walk to Main street but far enough for privacy. We are delighted we chose to rent for 3 months. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to friends.

Perfect wine country get away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a month in this lovely home in St. Helena. It was a wonderful month full of relaxing , wine tasting and just general having fun......the house was perfect. It was very well appointed and we felt like we were staying at our sister's house instead of a rental. The owner has thought of everything! We have rented accommodations all over the world and this one is the best yet. Not only is it perfect but the location is spectacular. We walked to dinner every night. I would reccomend this home to anyone, in fact I plan to stay here again in 2017.

An All-Star Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and my son and his fiancee stayed at this wonderful property in June. We couldn't decide what was better -- the location or the features. The location is in a leafy suburb that's almost but not quite rural. OK, in a twenty minute walk through the perimeter vineyards we were in deep rural: black tailed deer, red-shouldered hawk, ancient oak trees, a babbling brook. But in a ten-minute walk (past a lovely pocket park with a duck pond) we were in "downtown" St. Helena. This town may have been a wild place a hundred years ago but today it's quaint, civilized, cute, and overflowing with dining and shopping opportunities. We mostly cooked at home so didn't even scratch the surface of the restaurant scene, but take a quick whip through Yelp or Zagat or Google and you'll see how deep it is. Which brings me to the kitchen. The kitchen, like everything else in this house, is brand new. The appliances are top of the line. An amazing refrigerator! Microwave and big convection oven, both built in. Every small appliance you could wish for. And it's nicely laid out where you feel like a pro chef with everything available at your fingertips and just a step or two away. A pleasure to cook there, and the central island is perfect for kibitzers, noshers, and the peanut gallery who just want to watch you do your thing with cooking implements. Being from in state we were duly conscious of the severe water shortage and did all the water saving things you do, some of which needn't be mentioned here. The fact that we were two couples more than 30 years apart in age was not a problem in this spacious house. The bedrooms are plush and the walls are thick and the doors are heavy and there's two full bathrooms each with a double vanity, so when we wanted privacy or they wanted privacy, it was never a problem. We could have fit a third couple without feeling too squeezed. There's even two separate sitting areas indoors, a living room and a "family room," each with a fireplace (although it being June we didn't test those) and there's two, actually three, separate seating areas outside, so we could follow the sun around the house when we felt like it. We also appreciated the artwork and ornamental accessories throughout the house -- somebody with a real eye for decor put this place together. Altogether this is a class act. New, solid, awesomely furnished and equipped, pleasing on the eye, and in a killer location. Five stars aren't enough!
