Spacious and Clean
Our stay at this house was wonderful. Everything was just like the pictures. Lulu and Pierce were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.
BEST HOUSE EVER!!!
We were traveling with 6 adults and 3 children (9,15,14). This house is more than perfect. Very clean and spacious. We chose this house because it was more centrally located and we wanted to do day trips around Ireland. It fit our needs perfectly. Beautiful scenery and had every thing we possibly could of needed. The house is located off the beaten path and out in the Irish country which we loved. I would stay in this house again and again. The owners are lovely people and live just next door and are happy to help if needed. If you are looking for a beautiful clean home that is more centrally located then look no further...THIS IS IT!! I hated to leave!!!!!
Very spacious house that accomodated 9 of us with ease
We had a great stay in the house. The open plan kitchen dinning room and lounge accommodated our group very well. The house is very well furnished and has a home from home feel. The rooms were very comfortable and access to bathrooms for all the rooms worked very well. The kitchen was very well equipped making cooking for a group very easy. The surroundings of the house is in a very quite rural setting and can be a very relaxing place to be. Access to small town is quite close and to Nenagh is very handy for more substantial shopping. There is plenty to do around the area and Lough Derg is only 5-10minutes away. Overall I would recommend the house to small and also large groups/families.
Perfect spot for family gathering/vacation
Beautifull and really spacious house and area. It all started from the very first contact. Lullu is the best host you can wish for and will ever get!
Very helpful with planning and booking process. We were traveling up from Cork and stopped at various places so didn’t arrive till late. No problem, she was there. The fridge was filled with full irish breakfast for the next morning and eggs for the week. On the kitchen table cookies and coffee/tea were waiting.
The house was absolute complete with everything needed for the whole family. Beds were made and plenty of towels available. even books board games and toys for the kids. All rooms clean and bright. We stayed with 6 adults and 3 kids. Would have fit double! Ireland is beautiful in all seasons and this place perfect to go in all directions! The gardens lovely and the view to the back of the house breath-taking. We were there when Storm Ophelia hit Ireland but staying inside for the day was no punishment at all. The Thatched Cottage Bar & Restaurant in Ballycomon is an absolute MUST. Really friendly people and pricing. The food outstanding. Ask Lulu of Pearse and they will tell you where to go.
Thank you so much Lullu and Pearse for a great week! Love from Frans and family.
Amazing peace and place for gathering found here in beautiful Ireland countryside!
This house is the best stay I have ever had or imagined. Pierce was an amazing host greeting us when we arrived and showing us around. If you stay here, be sure to tour his garden which he welcomes right next door. You will be awed and amazed by the beauty and care. Your stay here will be SO CLEAN and comfortable. All the beds are comfortable and equipped with extra pillows and comfortable duvets. Plenty of everything to make a stay comfortable and practical. All the windows shine perfectly clean and windows surround the back of the house, kitchen, and bedrooms. Love the openness of the floor plan, with several sitting rooms. Made it easy for 3 families to gather, and yet find alone space. The best is the front yard with flat, grass for the children to play "rugby" and tag aligned with tall hedges for privacy from the quaint road. The back patio is picturesque. Very nice patio furniture to have happy hours back there with the geese keeping us company close by and the cows in the distance. The views amazing! I did not want to leave this house or this landscape! Heavenly walks were taken early in the mornings and the most amazing sunsets at night right from the backyard. The house is close to a very cute pub/eatery called the Thatched Cottage. A lot of day trips to be taken from this location.
Thank you for a wonderful review! We are delighted that you enjoyed staying with us, and we hope that we will meet again whenever you return to Ireland!
Beautiful house with wonderful scenery
My family and I stayed here over the August Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. We couldn't have chosen a better house in a nicer location. The house was light and very spacious with plenty of room for a large group. The view was to die for and my mother spent most evenings sitting watching the sun go down over Lough Derg. She certainly would have stayed longer! We didn't miss anything from home as the house was well stocked with everything you could think of - nothing was in short supply.
We will certainly be back again. A special thanks to Lulu and Pearse who went out of their way to make us feel at home and made a real fuss of my mother on her special birthday. Thanks for everything.
I would highly recommend this house as a holiday home to suit large groups.
Thank you for staying with us for your special birthday weekend. We really enjoyed meeting you all, and look forward to our next meeting.
Corraquill is located close to the lakeside village Dromineer, where sailing and water sports can be accessed.
8 kilometres from Nenagh and the M7, it is ideally placed for touring, with Bunratty Folk village, Limerick, the Burren all within an hour away. Dublin, Cork and Galway are 90 minutes- ideal for day trips.
Nenagh itself is an interesting town, with a castle and local heritage center- with a genealogy service, for those interested in researching their family tree.
There are good restaurants locally, and many pubs have great trad music sessions- or try some Irish dancing!
