There is a Hot Tub & Summertime Pool, front desk , Ski Valet, Valet Parking, Free Hi Speed Wifi & Stonesedge is our in house restaurant (where we can offer you a discount).

We are a short 2-3 minute walk to both Whistler & Blackcomb Mountain’s main lifts. All the great restaurants, nightlife, bars & shopping are at your doorstep. In the summer months, The Adara Hotel is less than a 2 minute walk to the driving range, where there is a free golf cart shuttle to the Arnold Palmer Whistler Golf Course and is 2 minutes to the entrance of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.

About Alan Lande

I have lived full time in Whistler for over 20 years and I am a Certified Ski & Snowboard instructor as well as a Guiding Service. I take pleasure in sharing my Local Knowledge & Great Deals with you.

With my passion & long time experience (100+ days on snow per season for the past 12 years), it would be my pleasure & a ton of fun to show you ‘my mountains’ with many secret pockets & powder stashes, either on snowboard or skis.

Weather, snow, wind, light, etc. always change the ‘sweet spots’ in the mountains & without proper knowledge of these elements & the terrain, you cannot always be sure of finding the right places to match your ability.

Provided you are advanced-intermediate or above, I (or one of my colleagues) can expertly guide you to the BEST places of the day & make sure that you stay in YOUR zone – as opposed to finding yourselves in areas too easy, or too challenging.

We are all Certified Instructors, and offer ‘tips’ throughout the day, but this is free skiing/riding & NOT School!

The cost for this is usually $500 a day for up to 3 persons but as a Whistler's Best Guest you get it for $250. ($50 per person thereafter)

Sorry, we don’t have lift line privileges, but with our knowledge we know how to avoid lift lines. Please try to book this early, as it’s very popular.

Great location, property was excellent and well appointed. One of my best accommodations l have stayed in Whistler! Definitely would recommend this gem to anyone wants to spoil themselves on holidays.

Unpleasant stay

Although I have had many wonderful experiences renting from VRBO, this is my first negative review. The unit was not a penthouse but rather an upgraded loft unit on the third floor of a hotel where every room was a loft unit. The furniture was shabby. The carpet and oven were dirty. There was no closet in the master. The "shower" in the master bath was a spray nozzle in the tub. The owner was very unpleasant when I called for instructions on operating the air conditioner, which was controlled by a remote device even though there were no instructions to that effect and I had no way of knowing in advance. The location was great, as all are village hotels and condos, but that is the only plus we could report.

Owner's Response: I knew it would be tough satisfying this guest when the day before arrival she asked for an 'Elliptical' machine - On arrival she immediately called to complain about......... 1) No AC - she had to pick up & use the remote for the Central AC ( Ultra rare in the Mountain Resort of Whistler) 2) No hangers - I walked her over the phone to the next closet where she found LOT'S of hangers. 3) She couldn't get out to the Private Deck as the door was locked - I told her there was no key, as the door only locked from the inside & she had to turn the 'latch'. 4) She complained about the clothes dryer ( had to contact me to tell her where it was!) .,..When our House keepers went to clean, they found the Lint Trap stuffed! 5) As far as a Penthouse goes - You can enter this 2 storey Penthouse (not 2 level) via the elevator from the 3rd or 4th floor ( top floor) . - there are ONLY 2 of these 2 Bedroom/2 Bath condos in the whole building - My unit is the ONLY one with Central A/C & in suite Washer / Dryer. As the saying goes....."You can't please ALL the people ALL the time! "

Great place

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. The unit itself is nice and well-furnished. The balcony is a great place to spend time. We loved the location so close to the base and everything else in the village. However, we were disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed for construction work.

Great location, disappointing interaction with the owner

I wanted to really like this place. It is in a great location, right in the village and across from the conference centre where I was attending a conference. My interaction with the owner, however, left me disappointed. Upon arrival, I had to vacuum the floor as it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The first night we were there, the dishwasher had a leak and we were left with very soggy carpet in one bedroom. I contacted the owner right away and over the next few days, various repair people came to check out what needed to be done. I understand that this was unforeseen, but we ended up doing all of the dishes by hand except on the last morning where I left 4 or 5 dishes in the sink that I assumed the cleaning staff could take care of. I then was on the receiving end of a nasty phone call from the owner who started out by accusing me of deliberately turning on the dishwasher when I left and purposely flooding his condo when clearly, the cleaning staff were unaware of the problem and turned it on themselves. Even when I explained that it wasn't me who used the dishwasher, he was rude and made no attempt to compensate me or apologize for the inconvenience. For that reason, I wouldn't stay here again. I've stayed at many VRBOs and have never been treated this way.

Owner's Response: To start with the weather wasn't great when this guest visited - This sometimes makes guests "picky"........but nonetheless, an unfortunate set of circumstances occurred. 1) The cleaners had come & gone when a brand new Air Conditioning compressor was delivered/installed ( less than 5% of rental units have A/C in Whistler) . Tracking down this complaint, yes, I found out the installers came in with their footwear on, leaving footprints - other than that, we met our high cleaning standards, witnessed in many other reviews. 2) This guest arrived on a Sunday afternoon & called me Sunday evening to tell me about the dishwasher - she said I needed a Plumber - I called a Plumber early Mon am only to be told by him that it was an Appliance repair not plumbing ($200) - I then called the Appliance repairman ($400) - he came & advised it need a part which would take a day to receive. By the time we got it all sorted & repaired the Guest had checked out ( short stay & Whistler repairs/parts don't always happen as quickly as in the City. I did call the guest to ask if she had turned on the Dishwasher before leaving ( there was a flood) & she said she didn't - I was NOT agressive but can only feel she was upset about the weather / dishwasher & footprints ..... Unfortunately we don't always get it right & for that I apologize.

GREAT Experience!

First off, this place is in a really great location. It's easy to walk to all of the restaurants and bars, and close to the mountain gondola as well. We stayed very comfortably with a group of 4, and all of us were able to rest well and feel fresh in the mornings. Having a key code on the door as opposed to carrying a hotel key all weekend was also liberating and great. Even though this unit is not a part of the hotel that it's inside of, the hotel staff were still very helpful and easy to deal with. Everything about the experience was great and I'll look forward to staying here again in the future!

A great apartment - excellent facilities in a central location.

A lovely apartment with everything you need for your stay in Whistler. Located in the centre of the village and only a couple of minutes walk from the slopes this is a perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy everything Whistler has to offer.
