Great house, no air

  • 4 of 5

We very much enjoyed the home near Ottawa Beach, especially the wrap around porch. A significant issue was that the home is not air conditioned, which was not obvious on the VRBO website. Thankfully, after a 90 degree start, the weather cooled down for the rest of the week. Another issue was that there were only 3 teaspoons and few larger spoons in the silverware drawer. Otherwise, we enjoyed the home.

It's a nice roomy cottage with a great screened in porch. Close to beach and biking trail.

We have stayed at this cottage for the last several years and we love it. We have a family reunion with many of the family camping at the nearby state park while a group stays in the cottage. We love the big porch that is our gathering place for everyone. It is a great location and is a short, pleasant walk to Lake Michigan. It is an annual tradition to walk down the block and across the street to the General Store for ice cream! The cottage is very cute and very clean. It is nice to have a washer and dryer handy. The kitchen is a bit small but very adequate. This year we celebrated our mom's 90th birthday here and the owners brought cookies and the management sent flowers....how great is that!

Perfect getaway for a large crowd!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time at this cottage. The large, wrap around porch is the best part. There is plenty of room for everyone out there, to enjoy cool breezy evenings reading a book or playing games at the large farm table. Most days were spent at the beach, just a short walk from the cottage. One block away is the General Store where we could grab this or that or enjoy an ice cream cone. The kitchen is loaded with everything you need. The cottage is clean, quaint and charming. We loved it!

We enjoyed the cottage.

This is a lovely cottage walking distance from the beach. The house has a well equipped kitchen and we loved the screened in front porch. The management company also made a point of checking on us to make sure everything was good. I would recommend this rental.
