About Jessica Wesolek
I am a Santa Fe artist and gallery owner who bought this house with my mother and brother in 2010 so my mother could live close-by. This was wonderful until she got homesick for Michigan, and moved back to her home town. We have kept the house as a family guest house and studio/getaway for me, but have now decided to offer its wonders to others as well.

Why Jessica Wesolek chose Eldorado at Santa Fe
When we shopped for a home for my Mom, we were looking for a perfect little "castle", and that is what Casa Artista looks like as you drive up the road. It is perfectly sited on a rise and has wonderful views in every direction. My main home is also in Eldorado - just 5 minutes away - and I love this community for its beauty and serenity. Eldorado used to be a huge ranch and when it was sold for development, there were many covenants put in place to keep the low profile, natural rolling, landscape looking unscathed. All architecture is one story, Pueblo or Territorial style, adobe colored, and blends beautifully into the natural surroundings. All power and phone lines are buried so nothing obscures your views, and the protected night sky is even more surreal than the amazing sunsets and cloud formations of the Santa Fe area.

Nice house in a relaxing setting
Our family stayed at Casa Artista over Spring Break. It fit what we wanted in our trip to Santa Fe perfectly. It is very comfortable and quiet, perfect for relaxing after hiking and visiting museums. It is about 10 minutes from town, but has a nice small shopping center nearby. The privacy, open space and night sky makes it a great place to relax. While it isn't in Santa Fe proper it is close enough that it is convenient, but offers the ability to experience nature and the open space which also makes New Mexico a special place.
The owner, Jessica, was very helpful and met us there to give us a brief personal tour. We've stayed in a lot of VRBO & HomeAway properties and this is possibly the nicest and most well equipped. The quality of the kitchen utensils, dishes, appliances, and beds was appreciated.
The owner has bird feeders and a fountain on the porch which resulted in great bird watching with morning coffee.
Overall this house is a great place to stay and relax during a trip to Santa Fe. I would recommend Casa Artista and would gladly stay again on a return trip.
Cute & Peaceful
We had a great time staying at this quiet house in Santa Fe. The views are breathtaking. We were there to snow ski and it is about a 45 minute drive to the top of mountain but worth it. The house had everything we needed, great clean rooms, well stocked kitchen and comfy beds. There is also a grocery store just a mile away which was great! Jessica was super and provided us with great information. Hope to go again!
Loved meeting you and your family, Von, and hope you will visit again.
COZY MONTHLONG RETREAT
First of all a heartfelt thank you to Home Away for re-housing us after the originally booked rental owner broke so many contractual agreements with Home Away that we were unable to move in....and lucky us...Jessica was willing to take us in for a month on one days notice. Casa Artista was a serious upgrade from the original booking and Home Away footed the bill with no complaint...we are so grateful....Casa Artista is in the residential neighborhood of EL Dorado....lovely patio...awesome star lit sky at night...along with the coyote howls from the hills...the house is clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped...mountain biking trails close by...12 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe...would definitely come back here again.
Dear Diane and Bruce - We don't usually rent for that long, but we are so glad we made the exception for you two. You took wonderful care of our Casa and filled it with good energy. It was a pleasure meeting you both.
Indian market getaway.
The house was absolutely perfect for us. It was perfect for the wife and I but also my daughter and son in law. It was perfect for daughter after spending Saturday and Sunday selling at the Santa Fe Indian Market. Nice and quiet great for decompression. The local grocer had everything we needed. There was also a farmers market just down the road. Sitting on the back porch in the evening and mornings playing my flutes was awesome.
Jessica was great and very helpful in telling us the best ways to get around during the market.
Will we go back? Why heck yes we will, that's if my folks don't beat us to it.
Thank you so very much for a wonderful home and all of your help.
I so enjoyed meeting you and your lovely family, Larry, and really hope we will be seeing each other again soon.
Comfortable relaxing home. The patio is a delight for watching the hummers and birds
We 4 related adults came to Santa Fe for the opera and found the house was perfect for us - about 1/2 hour to the opera. Jessica is s delightfully welcoming and helpful owner. The houses in the neighborhood are surrounded by acreage in its natural state which gives privacy. And the night sky is fabulous!
You were so fun to meet and so clever at finding out the Comcast Cable was not screwed in tight! I love a fix like that. You are welcome back any time!
A lovely warm space with everything you will need for your stay
My artist friends and I really enjoyed "Casa Artista" .. it's in a quiet and picturesque valley with views for what seems like forever.. high ceilings, all the comforts of home, wi-fi, xfinity cable and more.. Easy quick drive down 25 to Santa Fe for our workshop.. also, there is some amazing breakfast but a 4 minute drive from the house.. thank you and great to have the giant Crayons to find the house when first arriving! - KW
