About Lisa Puls
Bob and I are lifelong Florida residents, living and working in Fort Myers, which is located on the gulf coast about 125 miles south of Tampa. Bob is an accountant and I am a Realtor. We have 3 grown children; one of which lives near Waynesville.
Lisa Puls purchased this House in 2013
Why Lisa Puls chose Waynesville
Our family has been vacationing in North Carolina since 1996, in hopes of having a summer home someday. 2013, Bob and I we were able to realize our dream. Waynesville was a perfect fit; not too big, but has lots to do and a hospital (we're not getting any younger!). Convenient to all of western NC. Our elevation is high enough to enjoy cool summer days (usually!). We really wanted a log home and fell in love with Forget Me Not immediately! We've learned quite a bit the last 4 years about mountain living; the drives are a bit longer, our walks are much more strenuous, yard work is our workout, and chopping wood can be fun once you get the hang of it! We had to get a home phone, as our cell phones don't work very well (texting works). At 3900 feet, the stars flood the sky, the quiet darkness of night makes for a great night's sleep. The friendly folks of Waynesville have made this a perfect second home.
What makes this House unique
The wood staircase leading to the 3rd floor loft, the stonework, the beautiful kitchen, the view from the deck was perfection. Each bedroom is on a different floor, so our guests have plenty of personal space, as well as their own full bathroom. The sitting area with wood-burning fireplace is one of my favorite spots in the house, along with the loveseat in the living room where I drink my morning coffee watching sun come over the mountains.

Amazing cabin! Even better than the pictures
This cabin was amazing. Very clean and well stocked for all needs. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away.
Very nice lodge. Plenty of room with indoor activities for the winding down time. Full size pool table upstairs and foosball table in the lower level. A great family place or for active seniors. You must be able to traverse stairs. The drive way is typical N.C. Hillside. If this is in your wheelhouse this is a great property.
I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at our cabin! We’d love to have you back anytime you’re in our neck of the woods!
House was everything it looks like. Very clean, well kept, new appliances, secluded. Great place.
House was everything it looks like. Very clean, well kept, new appliances, secluded. Great place. We did the art walk in waynesville. Suggest Maggie’s seafood in waynesville. Relaxing, Relaxing, Relaxing
What a beautiful house and location!
Has everything you need to get away from the bustle of Life. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and it is so nice inside you don't want to leave. Close to Maggie Valley, the Biltmore, Grandfather Mountain, rafting and much more. Limited cell coverage helps you unplug from Life, and just enjoy the pool table and fooseball.
Good Morning Jo,
It was a pleasure having your family stay at our home. Thank you again for the personalized guest book! We, too, think the location is perfect to explore Western NC. True, most cell phones don't work up here on the mountain, but we have the home phone to keep us connected to the "real world". If your travels bring your family back our way, we'd love to have you back! Bob and Lisa
Very happy with the property!
We stayed here with our family from Ontario, Canada for a week in early August and found it to be a well maintained and immaculate cottage within a reasonable distance to Asheville and many other tourist attractions. The setting was beautiful and the amenities were excellent, with a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Communication with the owner was outstanding and overall I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone in the future.
A lovely inviting home with all the amenities. The owners take great care of this beautiful home. Can't wait to return.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed our home and I hope you will stay with us again in the future! Lisa
