This 700 sq. foot one bedroom basement suite has a bedroom with a queen size bed, full bathroom, kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, 32 inch, wall mounted flat screen TV in the main area (Telus Fiber Optic Basic TV, no movie channels, smart TV), Wi-Fi, non ducted air conditioning, utility room with washer/dryer, dishwasher and central vacuum. Located off the kitchen is a living room with a large sofa, easy chair and a queen size sofa bed, with a six inch memory foam mattress, with trampoline style support in place of springs. There is a four piece bathroom, the tub is oversized with shower.The suite is ideal for a couple with one to two children. I limit guests to a maximum of four. My base rate is for two adults, if there are additional adults (18 years of age and over), there is a charge of $10.00. per adult per day. When requesting a booking please provide the ages of the children in your contact email, and do not include them in the number of people in your group, just the adults (Over 18), the VRBO software then adds the charge for the adults. If children are added in error I simply remove the charge before accepting the booking.
Access to the unit is from the backyard, via the front driveway. The walk to the unit is via my driveway, lined with multi grafted fruit trees (Fruit Salad Trees). and vines. A pathway adjacent to a koi fish pond and stream takes you through the rear yard, with its abundant flowers, wine and table grapes and herbs. The access to the suite from the street is covered with motion security lights, and the pond stream and waterfall is illuminated at night. I have a passion for gardening and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the large, colorful yard, and rear deck for my guests to enjoy, that includes a small BBQ and umbrella for shade. Parking is located on the street, directly in front of my property (cul de sac). There is no room for trailers or boats.
The cul de sac also has a public access to Skaha Lake, about 75 meters from my front gate from where small boats, kayaks etc. can be launched. There is a flat grassed area, ideal for that morning coffee or evening drink. the lake at this point is very shallow, and not rocky.
I also have a paddle board, one and two person kayaks available for rent at reasonable prices.
My home is located directly below Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park, which offers scenic views of Skaha and Okanagan Lakes, and can be accessed by car or on foot from an uphill road 100 meters from my house. Skaha Bluffs is a world wide destination for rock climbers. Skaha Beach and park is 2.2km away, and Okanagan Lake is at the North end of Penticton, approximately 9km.
I am located within short driving distance to the many amenities that the South Okanagan has to offer, from world class wineries, fine dining, and any outdoor activity you could imagine. I live upstairs and would be pleased to welcome you to my wonderful home and neighborhood. The rear yard backs onto Lakeside Road which is a secondary road that runs along the east side of Skaha Lake to Ok Falls.

I live on a very quiet, and small cul de sac. I respect my neighbors desire for quiet and privacy, as they do mine, I expect the same respect from my guests. Parking is free and on the street in front of the house. Many guests are here to meet with friends and family, I ask that you do so off site.
I am a non smoker with a severe allergy to cigarette smoke, the suite and the yard are non smoking, this also includes and is not limited to anything that creates smoke, i.e. marijuana and vaping. I have a propane BBQ for my guests to use, there is no fire pit.
