One Bedroom, One Bath With A Full Kitchen
This guest house is located at the back of the courtyard of www.vrbo.com/371457. It is a one bedroom, one bath house. The bedroom and bathroom are located upstairs. Downstairs is the living room and the kitchen. The futon couch has an 8" memory foam full-size mattress. It shares a gorgeous, classic New Orleans courtyard with the front house. There is gas grill and a fountain in the courtyard. There is a bistro set just out side the door, as well as four-seat outdoor table and chairs available for outdoor dining. And a balcony with seating to look out over the courtyard.
Please note: the walkway back to the house is narrow - room enough to roll luggage down it, but still narrow.
We provide linens, soaps, coffee, etc.

About Anne Hazeltine
I bought this property in order to spend more time in New Orleans. I love this town! My stress level immediately lowers as soon as I can pick up WWOZ on the radio on the drive down from Indiana. I got super lucky when I found Ginger Miller, the property manager. Ginger has worked as front desk clerk in a boutique hotel in the Marigny, so she is a great resource about the neighborhood. She lived in this house for our first four years and she still handles all your needs for the houses.
Anne Hazeltine purchased this House in 2011
Why Anne Hazeltine chose Faubourg Marigny
As soon as I walked in the house, I knew it would have to be mine! I loved the courtyard most!

Great house, perfect location and excellent host!
Great location, quiet retreat
The location put us just a block from the bus, two from Frenchman, and three from a coffee shop. Great location with the added benefit of being off the street, so after the crowds we were able to have some sanctuary. The accommodations are as described, comfortable and homey. The shower is a claw foot tub, and the stairs to the bedroom are steep, so not for the mobility impaired. The patio is a great place to hang and comes complete with mosquito repellant, candles, & even a grill. Ginger was very helpful. A great spot to stay in New Orleans.
WARM AND COZY IN NEW ORLEANS
Cannot say enough about our "Marigny Hideout"...it was an oasis yet so near to everything and quiet. Loved being within walking distance of music, good food, shopping and parades.
Having a shared laundry area was another plus...this place had so many pluses. The apartment had so much character and many conveniences...loved the upstairs balcony and having morning coffee there. Nice quiet space. New grocery store Roberts close by.
Only one negative...the foliage was dead and nothing was cut back.
One cautionary item...stepping stones were wobbly...not good for someone with walking issues. The tub was high to step into.
Otherwise, we hope to return again sometime soon and explore more of the Bywater/Marigny/Treme areas which you can do on foot from this adorable apartment.
In the meantine, "laissez le bon temps rouler"!! Perfect time in New Orleans.
Joyful couple from Mississippi!!
Well worth every dime!
We stayed over Mardi Gras. Perfect location, close, quiet, it's your little house with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. Friends stopped over, plenty of room, could even of had a get together for a parade. Thanks for everything.
Well kept, well located, and cozy
We loved our stay. The furnishings were very comfortable, and the house is great for an adult couple. The location was extremely convenient for taking in the music on Frenchman Street, while far enough away to be quiet. The French Quarter was in easy walking distance, as was the street car line. The only caveat is that the walkway to get to the house is extremely narrow, which may pose an issue for bigger folks, or bigger luggage (also not so much fun in the rain.) We would definitely stay there again.
Tiny house, big heart
What a great little oasis in a wonderful location! A cozy quiet place with walkability to entertainment and shopping. Not only that, but our little dogs were made welcome too. A little more water pressure in the shower would have been nice, but that was minor. We would certainly stay there again.
The Marigny (mare-i-nee) neighborhood is adjacent to the French Quarter. It is an eclectic area filled with artists. I first fell in love with it in 2009 when we came for Jazz Fest. I travel with my dog and walked the neighborhood every day. I bought this property on my second visit to the city in 2011! There are coffee shops all over the Marigny and Frenchmen Street is packed with live music clubs and an art market in the evenings. What more could I ask for?
