A Wildlife Paradise on Hat Rapids flowage!
Set on 2 1/2 Acres in the Hat Rapids Flowage wilderness, 'Pine Hill House' is secluded on its own cove with a West view across 200 yards of water to a densely wooded hillside. To the North are 6 to 7 miles of some of the loveliest water sights you'll ever see.
Beautiful wide water with several coves to explore are undisturbed by houses for several miles. Three eagles' nests usually offer bald eagle sightings. The wilderness teems with wildlife; river otters, beavers, muskrats, painted turtles, giant snapping turtles, loons, deer, raccoons. Summer evenings, a chorus of bullfrogs, bright sunsets entertain you as you enjoy the fire-pit on the waters' edge. In winter, you look across the frozen waters where big, healthy grey wolves oftentimes trot along.
PINE HILL HOUSE includes two Kayaks and a Canoe moored on the dock so you can paddle many MILES in the wilderness without passing other houses. We’ve watched Bald Eagles, Sand Hill Cranes, River Otters and a couple of Black Bears swimming across the flowage. One December, a pair of handsome Timber Wolves trotted by on the frozen lake. The serenity of the waterscapes and the still quiet around our house make a visit truly memorable. The fire pit on the bank, high swing out over the water, and the peaceful snoozing on the hammock make for repeat visitors. Our river setting is featured on the Wisconsin River Cruises which pass by every day. They chose the most beautiful landscape for their tours.
We hope you enjoy PINE HILL HOUSE and will return next year.
