About Kay Davidson

We've lived in Port Angeles since 1972.

Kay Davidson purchased this house in 1993

Why Kay Davidson chose Port Angeles

We moved here to attend Peninsula College and stayed because we loved the beauty of the area as well as the logging and fishing culture. In our 41 years here, we have raised our children, owned a business and invested in the community. This town is our home and we look forward to sharing it with you.

What makes this house unique

We love this house. We're the 3rd owners and knew the woman who commissioned its building. It really is a darling home that has retained all of the original 1940 charm. The arched entry and hallways, cedar lined closets and original fireplace make it feel like it's a familiar part of our history. We've worked to maintain and restore it's character, from original wood trim, doors and floors, to the the architectural hardware. We really like the resulting blend of old character with current comforts.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Wonderful stay! It was terrific to have a home as a base versus a hotel. Very comfortable home!

Great Location in Port Angeles

  • 5 of 5

This home provided ample space for the four of us to spread out and relax after long days hiking in nearby Olympic Park. The property is in walking distance of many of the best reviewed lunch/dinner locations and provides excellent access to Hurricane Ridge. Our hosts provided excellent communication and our four day rental was seamless.

Fantastic stay in Port Angeles!

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely home- very comfortable and clean with everything we needed! Easy check in/out. Great location- close to all the spots we wanted to see in Olympic National Park as well as to the town of Port Angeles with restaurants and shops. Perfect for my family of 4!

Well kept home with easy access to surrounding activities.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the house. The upstairs is a pretty neat extra space and the beds are comfortable with nice bedding. The surrounding area is gorgeous. The one thing we would change is we wished we could open the downstairs windows. Most of the time it wouldn’t matter but it happened to be hot the day we arrived.

Owner's Response: All bedrooms, the bath, and the kitchen have windows which open, and we provide two fans downstairs plus one large fan upstairs to help move warm air out. Always phone us if you are uncomfortably warm as we can provide an additional tower fan. We will try to remember to open some downstairs windows when the weather is warm prior to your arrival.

roomy, comfortable, and clean. very nice experience.

  • 5 of 5

This property was well equipped, clean, and more than enough room for 5. It was also nice to have 1-1/2 baths for our group. Located close to groceries, restaurants, and the attractions of the coast and Olympic National Park. We would definitely stay here again if our future plans take us in this direction.

Comfortable and convenient

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy with our stay at this home. The home is tastefully decorated and has very comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. Very convenient for our family of 5 to have the 2 bathrooms and the laundry room. We were happy that we were so close to the ferry terminal so we could walk each day, instead of paying for parking. The owners are fantastic to work with and quick to respond. I would highly recommend this location.

Clean, comfortable and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this charming house from the moment we walked in! It felt fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. There were plenty of towels and toiletries. That comes in handy when you forget your shampoo! The adorable kitchen was well stocked and very functional. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. This was the perfect place for us during our stay in Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula!!
