Please see our personal website for more details and to contact us directly!

About Joe and Caarin Pannkuk
The Pannkuk's currently reside in the Twin Cities, but have been part of the Big Blake community for 27 years. Mrs. Pannkuk grew up going to Big Blake Lake throughout her childhood. Now with 2 young daughters, yet another generation is able to enjoy the magic and fun of Big Blake Lake! Some of of their favorite Blake Lake activities are: fishing (Mr Pannkuk), kayaking (Mrs. Pannkuk), or swimming and water tubing (the girls).
Joe and Caarin Pannkuk purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Joe and Caarin Pannkuk chose Georgetown
Welcome to a slice of Paradise and Privacy! We love this cabin, this lake, and want to share it with other families like ours! Great space, bedrooms, and different ways to configure sleeping arrangements. There is so much to do on the lake and in the area, or... better yet, completely relax and do nothing at all! This cabin is Lakefront! No crossing the road. There is a view of the lake from all of the back rooms, including a view of the lake right from the master bed!
What makes this Cabin unique
The views of the lake from the master and lower level bedroom are peaceful and breathtaking. The open concept of the upper level makes spending time with family or friends perfect! The views and privacy from the deck are fabulous! Great layout to this home. Two small groups can easily find separate areas to relax! Great for multi-generational family retreat! (grandparents, parents and grandchildren) Plenty of sleeping space to spread out.

Great winter weekend getaway at Cabin on Blake Too
We reserved the cabin for a girls getaway weekend in February 2018. The cabin was perfect for our group with plenty of space for everyone, fully stocked kitchen enabling us to cook all of our meals together, comfortable living areas to play games and talk for hours, beautiful view of Blake Lake and easy access to the lake for snowshoeing and walking and chatting with the ice fishers who were catching some good size fish. In addition to enjoying our time at the cabin, we also visited Dancing Dragonfly Winery which has a wonderfully tasty variety of wines (highly recommend getting a glass or bottle of Cha Cha if you go).
Thank you to The Pannkuks - Joe, Caarin, Autumn, & Afton - for providing a lovely place for us to stay (and for the welcome and thank you packages you sent - a very thoughtful surprise)!
Love this place! It’s clean, cozy, updated, and the perfect ‘cabin’ away from home for us. The location and proximity to our loved ones makes it even better! Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your review of Cabin on Blake! We truly value each one of our guests and are so thrilled to hear when they have a wonderful experience! Thank you for staying and we hope you stay with us again!

Great Family Getaway
We had a great stay at Cabin on Blake Too. It was perfect for our family of 4 boys and dog Tate. Plenty of room. Great activities both in the house and outside. It was a great stay. We would go again.
Great cabin on a beautiful lake
We stayed at Cabin on Blake Too with our 3 boys (6, 8 and 10) for 4 nights in late August. We absolutely loved Big Blake Lake - it was the perfect size for us as we were only interested in doing some swimming & paddling. There were hardly any boats on the water, so we felt very comfortable letting our kids paddle around in the kayaks and paddleboat. They also loved swimming off of the dock and cooking smores by the bonfire.
The cabin was nice and met our needs. Having 3 bedrooms was great as it allowed us and our boys plenty of space to spread out. Also having cable and Netflix available was useful as our days were packed with activities and we sometimes needed some downtime.
Some specific things we liked about the cabin:
-The location is wonderful, we really loved the size of Big Blake Lake
- The kayaks! This was a surprise as they were not listed on the website, but we used them every day
- The kitchen was very well equipped, anything we needed was there plus more
- Plenty of bathroom towels stocked
- The games & toys closest was appreciated when we had a bad day of weather
Some things that could be improved on to make it a perfect stay:
- Dishwasher & dryer were both full when we arrived. Not that big of a deal, but little details count
- The mattress in the master bedroom was not comfortable
- Having to bring our own blankets for the beds was a bit of a pain. With an already packed vehicle, it would have been nice to not have to worry about bringing all of our own blankets
Some things we did nearby & would reccommend:
- Canoeing/Kayaking on the St. Croix River...beautiful!
- Interstate Park had great hiking
- Osceola & ST. Croix Valley Railway - fun & scenic train ride
Thank you so much for your feedback - we are so blessed to have amazing guests!
We want to apologize about the dishes being left in the dishwasher. This is something we will notify our cleaning staff of. We haven't heard this complaint before, so we really appreciate you letting us know!
We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the kayaks as well! That was something we just added. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to see you again in the future!
Small but nice
My ladies night friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. The owners and property manager are good communicators and gave us lots of info pre-stay. The cabin has a small upstairs living area but the bedrooms are a nice size, the kitchen has lots of useable space and new appliances, and the lake is very clean. There is a washer and dryer so you can do laundry if staying for more than a couple of days. The cabin is very close to neighboring cabins and we are used to more privacy on our cabin weekends, but the neighbors are very friendly.
Located in a convenient location! Fabulous activities to do on the lake, or the adjoining small river. Kayaking, boating, great fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, jet skiing (bring your own), eagle and loon watching, and so much more! Located near to the following areas and attractions: Turtle Lake Casino, Cumberland, Wi, Amery, Wi, Balsam Lake, Wi, tons of small wineries with tours (Dancing Dragonfly is one of our favorites!), Wild Mountain Ski and Waterpark (alpine slides), Taylors Falls (rock climbing), great local areas for hiking, not far for a day trip to Hayward, Wi, Luck Golf Course, Fawn- De- Rosa (a great local wildlife "petting zoo"), and so much more! Tons to do for singles, couples and families alike!
