Very happy and very welcomed
I loved staying here. And it's a bonus that my dog could stay with me too!! I loved that it was pet friendly. James is a nice man and I'm sure he would've been there if I needed anything. I didnt need to contact him because everything worked out well. I felt very at home when I came back after a long day of exploring. Kitchen is well stocked with any utensil you need. Bathroom has a nice storage area, so I could unpack my stuff. Bedroom also had nice dresser so I could unpack too. The air unit worked totally fine in bedroom and I stayed in early August and it was blazing hot on some days, but bedroom stayed cool. I loved waking up to horses outside my window too. I'm going to stay here again when I'm out by fort collins, no doubt.
My family had a great stay! James was always ready to help us with anything we needed and we were very comfortable. A lot of hard work went into this home. I appreciated the hospitality and flexibility at this stay. :)
Beware! Totally not want it is written up to be!
Well, I just don’t know where to begin. We had a 14 day stay booked. We arrived at 9p at night and just like the owner said, the light would be on and the key under the mat. Arriving, we walked into the apartment, (which is an apartment that has been constructed from a shed), and it smelled musty. The description said that the unit was air conditioned. Unfortunately, the bedroom had a small air conditioner unit on the floor which made a loud noise the entire time it was on, otherwise the rest of the house only had ceiling fans and it was hot! Coming into the unit, the carpet looked dirty and I think that’s what gave the whole place a musty smell. The kitchen is not equipped to do any type of cooking. There were a few dishes, and the pots and pans that they had were very worn. There was a grill outside that was supposed to work, and was very dirty and didn’t even have propane. Going outside, there were a few beat up chairs and half of the cushions were gone. They looked about 20 years old. Don’t let the picture of the horse fool you and the ad. They had a pen of horses right next to the apartment, but no view. There is a busy highway that you can see right from the property. After staying the first night, we contacted the owner, and he really didn’t care about our concerns. His comment to us, was if we looked at things as half empty or half full. Seriously? He then went on to explain that the outdoor grill was his mothers and it needed some work. Well, it should have been working and had propane ready for us to use. I cannot believe that this description of this property can be listed as it is for this property. It is nothing as it appears. The owner did not care that we were so upset. His comment to us, was you can only make so many people happy. We told him we would be happy if he just returned half of our money for the 14 nights. I wrote to him a couple times thru VRBO and no response. He had his money and he didn’t care. We only stayed one night.
We put complaints into VRBO, suggesting that they really look at this property. This is just a warning! Extremely unhappy with the whole experience.
Very clean and comfortable
Love how it’s out in the country, yet 10 minutes from downtown Fort Collins. Loved the horses being right there. Made me feel like I was home on the ranch again.
Very nice place to stay
We were out in Colorado for my sons graduation and to sight see. This location was perfect for both. It close enough to Fort Collins to go to all the restaurants and stores to get there in 15 min. Yet far enough away from everything to be able to relax and wind down. It is also only a couple minutes from Poudre canyon . The unit itself is very cozy with a great view of beautiful horses. You feel safe enough not to lock the doors. The place is equipped very well with everything you need except the food. Some people complained about the traffic noise from the highway but my wife and I never really heard it. James Pearl and his family seem to be good quality people who would help you out if needed, Basically me and my wife would stay here again and would recommend it highly.
clean, great views!
I enjoyed my time! Plenty of privacy yet friendly people. Way more room than I needed; full kitchen and full-sized bathroom. Easy drive in to Old Town, etc. I would definitely stay there again.
