Welcome to MaiTai
Mai Tai is a bright airy living space with vaulted ceilings that give your holiday home a spacious feel .
The kitchen, with granite counter tops has every gadget and appliance you will need . Fridge, dishwasher , range, and garburator ,the kitchen alcove houses a stacking washer and dryer.
Blender , food processor, rice cooker, many pyrex and corning ware dishes are also provided.
The larder is well stocked with herbs and spices , oils and vinegars.
Tin foil , cling wrap , paper towel are provided along with cleaning supplies.
There is plenty of comfy seating in the spacious open living area which has all the modern technology you would expect in a superior yet affordable vacation rental. All rooms have open beamed vaulted ceilings.
The living space opens to the large yet private covered Lanai that is furnished with a teak dinning set seating 6 ,and 2 steamer loungers with comfy cushions .
The covered lanai allows you to enjoy being outside even during a passing shower , and there is a distant view of 3 mile long Papohaku Beach .
The lanai is also accessed from the master bedroom which has a very comfortable King Bed, and an ensuite with double sinks set in granite counter tops, toilet, bath and shower.
During the 2015 remodelling the master bedroom was separated and insulated from the living area giving you complete privacy and absolute sound proofing. This is the only home in Ka Nani Kai in which the master bedroom is totally private and not open to the living areas and loft bedroom.
The second bedroom has a Queen bed and adjacent bathroom with toilet, sink, shower, and granite countertop .
The third sleeping area is a loft, accessed via the spiral staircase from the living area , it has two single beds and is great for older children.
All the rooms are cooled by commercial quality super cooling ceiling fans and the Tradewinds.
Bathroom and pool towels are provided.
2 Boogie boards available on request.
Cooler bag , 4 beach chairs , roller board to get your " stuff "
to the beach.
2 tennis racquets.
MaiTai is located , off the main road , close to the pool and spa tub ,and the best tennis courts on the island .
You can park right outside MaiTai.
Garbage and recycle are close by .
The community BBQ by the pool .
The pool and grounds are immaculately maintained by the ground crew , they , the office staff and Manager are very friendly , helpful and welcoming . MaiTai is surrounded by swaying palms, lime trees and beautiful all season flowering Bougainvillea.
Molokai is known as “ The Friendly Isle" It has maintained the true Hawaiian way of life . You will not find all the trappings of tourism that many of the other islands offer.
Molokai is the path less travelled, slow down and enjoy the journey .
The local coast line is stunning , and includes the longest 3 mile beach in Hawaii and smaller deserted sandy West side coves, where MaiTai is located , to the Kalaupapa Peninsula which boasts the tallest sea cliffs in the world .
Tours can be arranged , by foot , air or mule to visit what once was a hospital where Father Damien tended to those that suffered from Hansen's disease.
Although the local golf course is no longer operational it does provide wonderful walking trails which you will share with the wild turkey and deer .
Not to worry if you are a golfer , the Ironwood 9 hole course is a short drive away .
Whale watching January through March. An amazing sight that you will never tire of .
You will also see the endangered Monk Seals that come up on to the nearby beach to rest .
Watch the surfers , or even join them !
MaiTai is at the West end of the island . There is a convenience store in Kaluakoi , a short walk away .It is worth visiting , you will be surprised by some of the items they carry , and may save you a 10 minute drive to Maunaloa where there is a larger grocery store , or the main shopping centre Kaunakakai 30 minutes away .
On your way to or from Kaunakakai stop at Kumu Farm for local produce , much of which is organic, and their famous pesto.
Take a short detour to Coffees of Hawaii , gift shop , tours , delicious coffee and you may be lucky enough to catch the local ukulele jam session .
You are also very close to the Macadamia Nut Farm , so grab some locally grown and roasted nuts to enjoy with your evening refreshment on the lanai .
The East End ,and Halawa Valley offers spectacular scenery , hiking ,diving and snorkelling . Tours can be arranged .

We first visited Molokai in in the early 2000's. After 9 years of owning vacation properties in the West Indies we decided to return to Molokai , and fell in love with the island again . We love the people on the island , the slow pace of life, and of course the wonderful weather .

Ke Nani Kai , and Molokai tick all the boxes . The complex is beautifully maintained , with friendly staff and management . The 3 bedrooms are perfect for our family , yet it is comfortable for just 2 people .

Great Location and Amazing Property
I've been coming to Molokai for years, and this was by far the nicest unit that I have seen. The place has all the necessities and can easily accommodate a family. The property owner was very responsive and was a pleasure to work with. We will be back...

This condo was so beautiful! Bright and cheery, loved the personal touches. No bugs and the kitchen was well stocked with all the things you need to cook. The owners were very pleasant to work with also. When we return we will definitely rent KNK 246 again!

We are happy to say that we had a terrific experience in this condo.
It is beautifully renovated, clean and well-equipped. The lanai is lovely with bougainvillea flowering along the edge of the railing, framing a lovely garden below. The lanai furniture was perfect. We missed the ocean view but enjoyed the birdsong and privacy.
There were boogie boards and beach chairs, a bonus which was much enjoyed.

Very beautiful room close to the pool and really clean
3 teaching artists who stayed in this location, each of which had a bed and had their own private space and shared communal areas. The prpetry was very clean and comfortable and convenient t othe western schools we were administering to. THANK YOU!
Labor Day Weekend Vacay
This is my family's second visit tot the Mai Tai and once again, we loved it. The room is spacious and allow some or everyone to have their own space. The proximity to the pool, tennis courts and barbecue grill is awesome. The second floor balcony (although partially blocked by overgrown bougainvillea) allows for the family to have meals while enjoying the sunset views or relax in the trade winds.the kitchen is always well stocked with cooking and baking utensils as well as spices. The fans in this unit are excellent and helps keeps the family cool on warm nights (the master bedroom fan needs to be serviced, though), but we survived and look forward to another visit soon.

Rates shown are based on 2 guest occupancy. Guests are responsible for taking out an adequate insurance policy to cover all risks , such as travel disruption or health issues . Providing the owner receives notice of cancellation not less than 8 weeks prior to the actual booking date, the guest will not be liable to pay the full balance. The reservation deposit will be forfeit. If the cancellation is received after 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday the guest is liable to pay the full balance of the final invoice. If the owner is successful in re-letting the property for all or part of the reservation period, the full balance or the part balance of the final invoice will be refunded. The guest is required to check the accommodation on arrival and notify the owner within 24 hours of any issues found. If breakages or damage occurs during the guests stay the owner should be notified. Should cleaning services beyond the normal be required at check out an extra cleaning charge will be applied . Hawaii Tax I.D W26362244-01 Depending on availability a late departure may be available ,a fee may apply. There is no smoking allowed it the condo or on the lanai.
