Awesome 2 story apartment in the top half of 100 year old historic home. Completely renovated with every amenity you could want. Sleeps 6 to 8 people. Walking distance to famous River Walk, and all of the good stuff in Southtown: Blue Star Complex, Beethovens Beer Garden, Friendly Spot, bike trails, Mission Reach Trails, 1919 Bar (my personal favorite). Numerous restaurants within walking distance: Madhatters, Feast, HotJoy, and Liberty Bar/Restaurant. The River Center mall with an IMAX is less then 2 miles away. Amenities include: smart TVs with cable in each room, Wifi, BBQ grill in the back, laundry room, full sized kitchen, and large soaking tub. Relax on large balcony with views of Tower of America. Bike rentals and public transit are 5 minutes away. Loft space has two reading nooks with bean bags, books, Xbox with games and is all upstairs away from master bedroom. This is a new rental and I am very willing to go the extra mile to make your stay the best. The beds are two queen beds, queen sleeper sofa, and a nice inflatable bed.

About John Adam McDowell
I was born and raised in San Antonio. I love it here and really enjoy living in the King William area. I am 15 minutes from just about everything in San Antonio. I was a teacher and basketball coach for 7 years before I started flipping houses. I started J Adams Properties LLC. to move into the rental, and this rental is the first vacation rental type property, but as soon as you see it you will understand why I felt I needed to share this property. I am still involved in basketball, and I am currently working on taking kids to basketball camps around the world.

Why John Adam McDowell chose Downtown
I was very fortunate to get this piece of property. I lived about a mile south and saw the "For Sale" sign but assumed by the location I could not afford the house. I was surprised by the price, but after seeing the condition I understood why. Luckily I have parents that are not scared of a challenge, and we took on this huge project together. When we started the property was deemed "uninhabitable." Eight months later it turned out better then I thought possible. I love living here and you will love visiting.
What makes this Apartment unique
Beautiful old home in a unique historical neighborhood.
Great accommodations! Great location!
We had a great stay! The house is clean, newly renovated, and is well equipped. The owner is extremely accessible and accommodating. Located just 1 mile from the Riverwalk, we could walk with our kids to all the attractions and food (great park and splash pad about halfway)! Overall great place to stay with your family!
Quaint home in a great neighborhood
The house was a great accommodation for our family of 6!! Everything was clean and as listed. Nice walk to the Riverwalk. John was very accommodating with anything that came up. The neighbors were so sweet. We would definitely stay there again!!
Great location. Clean, quiet and updated. Perfect getaway rental.
Excellent, comfortable and clean apartment.
Well equipped apartment, a few minutes drive to the river walk. Comfortable beds with plenty of extra linens and pillows in master closet. The upstairs room has 2 queen beds. TVs in all rooms.
Great Place in a Convenient Location
There were 3 adults and 5 children and we all stayed comfortably in the house.
Great location to stay when visiting San Antonio
Nice 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom place to stay within walking distance of much that San Antonio has to offer. Great location in King William district. Nice place to be close to everything, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Highly recommended.
Described as "a thriving bohemian district," Southtown encompasses three overlapping urban neighborhoods: King William, Lavaca and Blue Star. Southtown boasts a wonderful collection of galleries, coffeehouses, bars, vintage clothing stores, hip bars, microbreweries, restaurants and fun family-friendly hangouts. In July 2011, King William was officially designated as a Cultural Art District by the Texas Commission on the Arts due to its wonderful blend of old homes, historic sites, and artistic highlights. There are always events and programs taking place for people of all ages in this thriving arts district! 135 Adams st, is located in the very middle of King Williams and Southtown
