A Birthday to Remember!
We were 5 siblings with spouses celebrating our dads 92nd Birthday at the Villa.
Within a few hours of our arrival dad said, "Lets book this place again next year!" LOL
Patti's home & property are amazing! Beautiful, clean, spacious & comfortable. The kitchen is huge & well stocked. We enjoyed having family meals at the large dining room table and our time reminiscing with our dad was priceless! We enjoyed family time on the spacious screened in porch & roasting marshmallows out by the fire pit. We also went through a few bottles of wine! Ha! Caught a couple dozen crabs and a few trout. Saw many Pelicans fly by and some perch right next to the pier! Patti was a pleasure to work with. Very friendly and informative. Thanks Patti!
I am so happy to hear that you and your family made wonderful memories at “While Away.” It warms my heart that your 90 year old dad had a wonderful time. Hope you all make back for his next birthday.
Great place to reconnect with children and grandchildren
Spacious and readily accommodates family groups with a range of children's ages. With thirteen of us, we could readily gather for family connections and yet have ample space to explore activities with different age groups. The house is well supplied and excellently maintained. Numerous activities are available right on site: fishing, crabbing, ping pong, readiing, games, kayaking, grilling, quiet time, etc. etc, plus countless activities in the surrounding community. Views from the house and pier are wonderful. Pelicans and dolphins come by to provide their own brand of entertainment.
The house allows for the ready gathering of families and children in numerous locations in and around the rental. Yet amazingly seems quiet even with six active kids on site. The space under the house is a great gathering place for activities especially if you encounter rain.
The owners are responsive to any issue you encounter to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommend.
Quiet get away within short distance to shopping and beach! Beautiful home!
Wonderful family vacation! House was clean, comfortable, and nice! Loved the dock with lots of crabs and fishing!
Beautiful and clean.
This house is absolutely beautiful with more than enough space even for a family of 15. I would recommend this place to anyone with a large family. The fishing and crabbing was awesome of the warf. If you want a little piece of heaven and the laid back atmosphere of Southern Alabama, this is the place to be.
Thanks so much for your kind words regarding “While Away” on Weeks Bay. I’m delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Hope to accommodate you in the future.
