From check in to check out we had a perfect stay. Very spacious house and very comfortable furniture/beds. Not one bad thing to say about the house or the process. Enjoyed it thoroughly and highly recommend to other renters.
perfect home for our stay
This home is lovely and comes supplied with EVERYTHING except our food and us! There were even spices in the pantry, better knives than I have and a bunch of board games! The dining room and living room had plenty of space for the 7 of us to play games and visit.
It takes only 10-15 minutes to drive over to Charleston proper and 5 minutes to the Sullivan's Island beach.
That beach is beautiful! The beach is all public access. You can street park on Station 22 (That's the name of a street.) or at the park at the North-East end of the island.
Parking lots are everywhere in Charleston. I do recommend getting the guide book from the Charleston tourism bureau because it has a map with all the parking lots on it. Very helpful.
The restaurants in Mt. Pleasant are less exensive than in Charleston itself and very good. The Shem Creek area has a bunch, but there are many in other parts of Mt. Pleasant as well. If you like barbeque, you will LOVE Melvins.
There is a very good grocery store (Harris Teeter) on Ben Sawyer Blvd just 5 min. from the house. (When you come off the gorgeous Revenal Brdge, you are on Coleman Blvd. which curves and becomes Ben Sawyer.)
Grant Smith, one of the owners and the manager of the property, is easy to work with and very nice.
We do recommend taking a carriage or walking tour early in your stay to orient you to the history and general layout of Charleston. If we had had more time, we would have branched out more in what we explored, but we loved our trip and can't say enough positive things about this great house. You will be very pleased.
Perfect location for our family.
The location of the property was perfect. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including a pack-and-play. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and plenty of bath towels for our entire group. Close to Sullivan Island and 10-15 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Would definitely recommend staying at this home.
We had a great time in Charleston and the location of this property made it easy to get everywhere quickly. Uber picks up there!
Wonderfully decorated and all the convinces you could want!!
Loved the decorating. Bedding really nice quality, mattress great for my husband's back!
Laundry convient and kitchen has everything you could need!!? Bathrooms supplied with soaps, shampoos and conditioners- even room spray! And soft towels!!!
Great place for family's and friends to stay.
Our second stay in old village. Everything was as good as if not better. The house had all the comforts of home. We can't wait to return!
We are located just blocks from Pickett Park and Pitt Street Bridge, one of the best sunset viewing spots in Mount Pleasant. The panoramic view from the park is incredible: Fort Sumter, Sullivan’s Island Light House, Arthur Ravenel Bridge, Charleston Harbor, and the Ben Sawyer Bridge can all be seen. It is ideal for viewing SC coastal wildlife, riding your bike, taking a picnic or dropping a line. With a perfect view of downtown, this historic gem is a wonderful place to spend your afternoon or evening with family and friends.
