Helen Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Sleeping Bag Room , 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6) SEE VIRTUAL TOUR

If you are looking for a rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit, Logger's Landing is for you! It is nestled on a ridge on four private acres overlooking the North Georgia Mountains. Sit on the screened back deck overlooking the beautiful mountains in your private hot tub and let the stress fade away! Enjoy lingering on the deck in the early mornings with a cup of coffee looking for wildlife and enjoying the view.

At the end of the day, relax with family and friends around the fire pit. Roast marshmallows, hot dogs, sing songs and let laughter fill the air while enjoying the best of what Mother Nature has to offer. Firewood is furnished.

This western cedar cabin has rich tongue and groove wood throughout. It is professionally decorated and is loaded with antiques. There are two large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom. The upstairs master suite has a king bed, private bathroom and a private deck. There is one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and one with a standard bed. There is also a self-inflating queen air mattress and plenty of room for sleeping bags. A full bathroom is located downstairs also.

The den has a stack rock fireplace and a vaulted ceiling. There are hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining area with beautiful carpet in the remainder of the house.

The property actually borders the Chattahoochee River, but the river is not visible from the house. The walk to and from the river is a strenuous walk for a lot of people. To get to the river, you walk down and around the house on an old roadbed. You will arrive at the upper deck and from there it is approximately 90 wooden steps to the river with a deck on the river. With all of that being said, I had one elderly gentleman visiting who was 79 and enjoyed walking to and from the river as well as walking on the property. The walk will test your endurance level.

Fishing is allowed in the river, but it is catch and release only. You must fish within the boundary lines of the property and only to the middle of the river as the river belongs to the property owners at that point. Once at the river, the view is very pretty and a lot of fun to play in. Many visitors enjoy the river after a hot day of sightseeing.

Logger's Landing is truly an exceptional getaway! If you are looking for first class accommodations, this is it. Whether a family get together, small private wedding or a romantic getaway, this cabin will surpass your expectations.

About Mary Steverson

Although I grew up in and now reside in Florida, my heart is in the mountains. We lived outside Helen from 1994 - 1998 at which time we returned to our home in Florida to raise two wonderful grandsons. We sold our original home in Helen, but missed the mountains so much we purchased Logger's Landing in 2005. This is our place of peace and rest and we are happy to be able to share the cabin with others.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Mary,

I've tried several more times and it keeps saying they can not confirm my

review. Below is what I typed up, maybe you can get it to post. Thanks

for everything! ~Nancy

We spent our annual Mother's Day retreat on this beautiful property. It's

at a dead end and wonderfully private, while less than 10 minutes from

town. We enjoyed the hot tub on the cool mornings and an outdoor fire with

the stocked firewood on the cool evenings. The hike down to the river was

moderate, but you are rewarded with most beautiful scenery. Our dogs were

elated with the property with plenty of space for them to sniff around and

chase lizards. Four deer came to visit on the first night. It was all

just perfect!

Very nice, the cabin was perfect for our thanksgiving getaway. The furnishings are perfect for the cabin. Only complaint no internet, need your hot spot or data. Road to cabin is challenging very hilly sharp turns, I gave the family a rollercoaster ride every trip in and out lol.

Owner's Response: Hi, Paula. Thank you for your kind review. I love the road into the house. You never know what kind of wildlife you will see when you round the next curve or top the next hill. Have seen a black bear sitting in the middle of the road! I am sorry about the internet. I just need to bite the bullet and have it installed. I will he there after Christmas and will check it out. Thank you for visiting and please return. God bless, Mary

A great place to relax in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We have had the privilege of staying at Loggers Landing a couple times with the family. It has allowed us a cozy, quiet and beautiful place to unwind while enjoying the mountains around Helen, Georgia.

Owner's Response: Hi, Ned. Thank you for your review. I very much appreciate my return guests. I am sorry you had to find the big tree down on the deck and sidewalk. We haven't had a chance to check it out, but hope to go after Christmas. I am happy you and your family enjoy our part of the world tucked in the northeast Georgia mountains. Please return again God bless, Mary

Heaven on Earth!

  • 5 of 5

Cozy, well appointed cabin with mountain views and right off the river, and is nearby Helen, GA, where there is plenty to do and see. We are already planning our next trip up here!

Owner's Response: Hi, Tina. Happy you enjoyed your vacation. The cabin is also our piece of heaven on earth! Summer is a fun time to go with all the water activities. I am devastated the big tree took our deck and walkway out! I hope this did not interfere with your trip. I look forward to hearing from you again. God bless, Mary

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 2 dogs and I had the best time at this cabin! The views were amazing and we could open up the doors from both levels and see the mountains.....we left them open almost the entire time we were there. My outdoorsy husband loved watching all the deer and wild turkeys on the property. Mary was so nice to work with. We can't wait to return!

Owner's Response: Hi, Courtney. I love leaving the upstairs doors open during the cool and cold weather. The night sounds are wonderful; I especially love hearing the katydids. The first two dachshunds we had loved to be outside. They would chase squirrels and lizards all day We love nature and there is nothing like looking out the windows and watching the wildlife. Please visit again. God bless, Mary

Beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

Spectacular - Beginning with the drive to the cabin and ending with the view from the cabin's property. The cabin is located close to Helen, Cleveland, and other areas - a perfect setting for those who want the seclusion of a cabin setting yet close by to modern conveniences.

Owner's Response: Hi, Jeanne: I still remember my first drive into the house. I love the twists and turns and uphill and downhill. You never know what kind of critter you are going to see; bear, deer, turkeys. Please visit again when you can. God bless, Mary

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this cabin twice now and for some reason my review would never publish. But regardless of the time that has passed, we love it and would stay there again and again. It is very clean, the hot tub is great, views are stunning, and has a great flat area for kids to run around. The kids always enjoy roasting hot dogs over the fire pit followed by s'mores. They look forward to that every year!

Owner's Response: Hi, Annie. I am so sorry I am just now replying to your review, but I have just been able to find it. I very much appreciate repeat visitors. There is nothing like making great family memories at our "happy" place. My family has a lot of wonderful memories made at the cabin. When our boys were still at home, the youth group went one time and every time the group sees each other now, there is still a lot of laughter from that trip. I look forward to your next reservation! God bless, Mary
