Property Description

Upscale and immaculate private apartment in a classic Hawaiian Plantation-style home in White Sands Beach Estates, a two minute walk from the White Sands (Magic Sands) Beach. Two large rooms, kitchenette, bath, and secluded outdoor lanai and fenced garden. This beautiful, tropical beach hideaway is also less than a mile from Kahaluu Beach Park and the best snorkeling on the Island. This is your ticket to paradise. Modern and well appointed, you'll feel surrounded by comfort and luxury in a neighborhood of fine homes with mature landscaping. One room is the master bedroom with a queen bed, wicker couch, flat screen TV, cable, A/C, complete kitchenette, and huge walk-in closet. The living room is bright and airy with multiple windows and two sets of sliding doors to the lanai. This room has well appointed modern teak furniture including a Thai twin sized Sofa/Bed, a dining table and chairs. A second flat screen “SMART” TV is provided here giving you access to the Internet and your Netflix account, etc. WiFi along with Bluetooth music system is included. You’ll have access to your own gas barbeque grill; there is also a large fridge and washer and dryer available. There is one bathroom with tub/shower which can be accessed from either room, and there's also an outdoor shower. Continental breakfast of island fruits, juices, nuts, and breads for toasting is provided each morning.

This property will surround you with a very private, tropical feeling with palm trees and tropical flowers abounding on the property as well as throughout the neighborhood.

This is a great place for a romantic getaway, singles, or for families. Sleeps up to 3 adults or 1-2 adults and 1-2 children.

We are Ironman and Athlete-friendly-and can provide secure garage storage space for bikes/sporting equipment, etc. Also, concierge services can be provided by arrangement (e.g., Airport Pickup for you and your bikes, orientation and transport to your race course, grocery shopping, errands that you can’t do while you are out training,) Just ask if you are interested in any such services.

The property is located one street behind Ali'i Drive by White Sands (also known as Magic Sands) Beach--Kona’s Boogie Boarding Beach with bathrooms, showers, volleyball court, and lifeguards. There is a path from the neighborhood down to the beach, so you can be there in two minutes! It is one mile from Kahaluu Beach Park and four miles from the 'original' town-site of Kailua-Kona. Two miles south, you'll find the Keahou community with shopping, restaurants, movie theater, golfing, and a small boat harbor. There are 2 beach chairs, 2 Boogie Boards and a cooler available for your use during your stay.

Also..we have 2 Paddle boards with personal instruction available for a very reasonable fee.

Little piece of paradise

My wife and daughter and I really enjoyed our 2-week stay at Kona Magic B&B with Stella and Robert (and Sting and Riki!). The property is well kept and very conveniently located, just a block from Magic Sand Beach Park (great place for morning coffee and swim), an easy walk or short drive to some very good snorkeling at Kahaluu Beach, and with great access to shopping and dining in downtown Kailua-Kona. Our hosts were thoughtful and helpful, providing everything we needed (beach chairs, umbrella, towels, coolers, guidebooks, etc.) to enjoy our time on the island and recommending activities for our 8-year-old. They also provided lovely breakfasts that included fresh fruits, juice, breads and tasty proteins. The well-appointed rental was the perfect size for us, and we enjoyed the private outdoor area. Robert even kindly assisted when we woke to a flat tire on our rental truck one morning! Overall, we loved the casual yet comfortable atmosphere of this property and appreciated our hosts' generous hospitality. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental to couples and small families looking to relax in paradise for a time. Thanks Robert and Stella!

Good location near the beach

We enjoyed staying with Robert and Stella. They were gracious hosts and provided breakfast everyday, which is a very nice touch. They also brought down a bottle of wine on Christmas. The place was clean and we appreciated use of towels, chairs, and a cooler for the beach. This a good location for exploring the Island. Our stay there was a great way to spend the holidays. Thanks Robert and Stella. Happy New Year!

Quiet, centrally located, short walk to beach, owners embody spirit of Aloha!

we had never done vrbo before, but were looking for a quiet, more homelike location where we could talk, enjoy reading, do some cooking and not have to drive far to Kona activities. We found it! With some nice extras! This place is perfect for 2 singles or a couple w one child. It is in the middle of a deadend street, 1 street above scenic Alii Drive. Less than 5” stroll to Magic Sands Beach, which has great Boogie Boarding. The hosts did provide Boogie Boards, beach chairs and a cooler. Breakfasts were usually a combination of yogurt/berry parfaits, breads, and fresh island fruit (papaya/pinapple) left on a tray in the fridge to be eaten at our convenience. If Stella and Robert knew we were planning to leave early, they left it early. Speaking of hosts, they embody the spirit of Aloha. They had provided a lot of tourist info in the room, but gave great additional recommendations when they learned our interests and plans. We loved eating at the Volcano House bar, overlooking the volcano, and walking along Honokohau Bay—counting the sunning turtles—2 of their recommendations. Robert had just cut the bananas in the yard, and had them hanging where we could snip them for a snack, which was so fun! They also gave us fresh Ono that he caught, and advised how to cook it—such a treat! They offered to cook a gourmet meal or take us out on SUPs for an additional fee, but we were too busy doing many of the island activities. The tv was never turned on. Wifi was fast enough to upload photos every night. AC was present, but in December, we never used it. Among their talents, You may be fortunate enough to hear Robert sing and play one of the many instruments he has mastered—we heard him for awhile 3 nights, and were disappointed when he would stop. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Amazing breakfast tray, great location, generous & helpful hosts

Robert & Stella welcomed us into their home and were eager to help us enjoy their neighbourhood with tips and advice. The breakfasts were beautiful and delicious with the variety and timing adapted to our preferences. The area is very quiet but everything is very accessible - we cycled and ran out the doorstep in a variety of directions each morning. A terrific farmer's market, snorkeling, downtown Kona are all just minutes away. Perfect spot for active travellers that get up early to enjoy an adventure filled day!

Our experience was overall great

We stayed in the two rooms in the downstairs portion. The place was clean, and it had everything we needed for our vacation stay. The owner was very hospitable -- he even lit the tiki torches for us every night! Anything that we may have needed was offered by the owner, including snorkeling gear and boogie boards, as well as information on local markets and restaurants. The stay included a wonderful papaya breakfast every morning, and we only had to walk approximately 5 minutes to get to the beach. For the level of housing this stay offered, the accommodations met the highest abilities. The only thing that could have made this stay any better -- if even possible -- is if the rooms were entirely separated from the house. However, there was no issue whatsoever of the owner intruding on privacy. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed, well-priced vacation.
