This spotless and beautifully appointed apartment is ideally located to explore the vibrant community of Hillcrest by foot as well as San Diego with its many neighborhoods and attractions by car or public transportation.

With 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, fully stocked eat-in kitchen, dining area, living room with 50" Plasma TV (Netflix, Sling TV and 50/5 Mbps Wi-Fi provided), DVD-Player, Roku, relaxing patio area with table, chairs and gas BBQ, fully stocked laundry area and a large one-car garage, Serene Sanctuary is the perfect retreat for a get away with family or close friends.

Being one block away from the famous Hillcrest Farmer's market and walking distance to countless award-winning restaurants, cafe's, grocery stores and trendy boutiques makes this apartment a great location for anyone visiting San Diego throughout the year.

The apartment is very close to many of San Diego's major freeway's and only 10 minutes to Downtown, the convention center (which hosts Comic-Con) and Coronado.

Many of our guests come without a car as most of Hillcrest's attractions and events are in walking distance, including the world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park with it's many museums and events. Exploring the rest of San Diego can be done by public transportation (the apartment is 1 block from a major bus hub) or with Uber, Car2go or Decobike.

Many major events are held in Hillcrest throughout the year such as the Rock'n'Roll Marathon, Pride Parade, Taste of Hillcrest, CityFest and many more.

Boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels are provided for your day at any of the many beautiful beaches which San Diego has to offer and most are within a 15 minute drive!

Arriving at Serene Sanctuary is easy, leaving can be a bit more difficult ;-)

The apartment sleeps 4 guests and is located on the second floor, has two bedrooms (each with a Queen bed). Feel at home in this newly remodeled and upgraded apartment with crown moulding, stainless steel appliances, tile counters, ceiling fans, motion lights and hardwood and tile floors.

The building is a duplex, so there are only two units which affords more privacy.

For our little guests we provide toys, a highchair (upon request) and a Pack 'n Play.

All main rooms have ceiling fans and for those who like it a bit cooler a portable A/C unit is provided.

Please ask should you need anything in particular.

Serene Sanctuary is the ideal retreat to experience the color and beauty of San Diego!

About Jeff

Growing up here and now raising our kids in this captivating city has been a wonderful experience. As a family we have a lot of out-of town visitors and all have been intrigued by the beauty of this place. We have traveled all over the world, often staying with locals or in vacation rentals and getting to know an area more from a locals perspective. It is an experience we would like to share with those seeking to get to know San Diego.

Working in the real estate business at the time I knew this property was in the perfect location as it is so close to everything San Diego has to offer. The walkable neighborhood dazzles you with the wide array of food options in its renowned restaurants. Going to the beach in the morning, visiting museums, sight seeing and shopping all without having to drive for a long time, means you can make the most of your day. Taking it all in without the stress that life so often brings. Enjoy your stay and the convenience of being close to it all!

Our apartments are located in the middle of the best San Diego has to offer yet still a quiet location tucked away from the main street with a big garage. Supermarket, cafes, bookstores. Wonderful place with a great location

This is a great little condo, very clean, and a perfect location for the zoo & museums. Jeff is a very nice owner who came to check on us upon our arrival. The place has plenty of toilet paper, paper towells, and other condiments. We were very comfortable and will stay again next time we come to San Diego.

Clean, well equipped apartment in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. It was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. Access to a garage to park in was definitely a plus, as parking could be tricky depending on the time of day. The garage was clean, secure, and we took advantage of the laundry machines allowing us to pack light. The neighborhood has lots of fun restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and groceries within walking distance or a quick drive. The neighborhood is centrally located making it easy to get to beaches and other attractions. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

great location and living space

I loved the couches and how soft they were. Just the table was a little too sharp on the corners,. The beds were amazing and soft. We slept well!

Great location, clean, comfortable, helpful hosts!

You can walk to lots of eating and drinking places. Grocery stores nearby as well. Seemed like everything was an easy 15 to 20 minute drive such as: Seaworld, Zoo (5 mins), Beaches, parks, USS Midway/downtown. Very clean and cozy with most everything you need. Hosts live right behind the property and were friendly and responsive but gave lots of privacy. A Garage is directly under this second floor unit so it felt very safe for a big city to have the car inside and we had 2 young boys (age 7 and 2) so that was nice. Free washers and dryers to boot.

Short 5 minute drive to kids playground and just a few steps to go up but we hope to go back. Would be ideal for longer term work stays as well if it works in someone's budget. Happy Trails, Jeff
