3 bedroom 2 bath cabin with six(6) person hot tub
My husband and I both were born and raised in Western Washington. After coming to Leavenworth for many years we decided to move here permanently when our children were grown because of our love for nature and the different climate the area offers. We love the snow and are avid snowmobilers. We also love the warm summers and the 300 days of yearly sunshine.

Why Owner chose Leavenworth
We love the river. We have seen abundant wildlife at the cabin which is always exciting. Some of our sightings include moose, deer, eagles and the busy chipmunks just to name a few.
What makes this Cabin unique
We enjoy watching and listening to the river rush by. The mountain view is lovely to look at as well. Its a very peaceful place to live.

Much needed vacation
Excellent property to get away from it all, yet close enough to Leavenworth or other towns if that is your desire. Nothing but good to say! Thank you!
Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Needed a bit of solitude and this was perfect. Gorgeous property set back from the river. Quaint community of Plain is a short drive down the road if in need of grocery or other necessities. 25-30 minute drive to Leavenworth, which suited us well, as our main objective was biking/hiking/relaxing. Would definitely return!
Great get away.
The house is beautiful. The property is wonderful, and the owners are wonderful. Plain is less than 10 minutes away, Leavenworth is about 35 minutes away and you have river access just a short walk across the property.
Gorgeous View of the River
My had an amazing Gilrs' Weekend here to celebrate my Mother's 75th birthday. The house was beautifully furnished with a family room and master bed/bath downstairs, along with a foosball table. The upstairs had the kitchen, living room, eating area and 2 bedrooms. We used the top deck extensively on this beautiful May weekend. The propane fire pit was easy to use and created a wonderful ambiance without the smoke of a regular fire. There is also a propane BBQ up on the deck, but we didn't use it. The are very nice patio furniture around the propane firepit and a table with 4 chairs. We sat out here to chat and play cards. The view of the river was gorgeous and peaceful. Mosquitos did come out at dusk, but luckily we had brought some bug repellent. Seems like after dusk the mosquitos went away.
Keep in mind when packing that the kitchen is on the 2nd floor, so would recommend smaller ice chests that are easier to lug upstairs.
The walk down to the river was relatively short and there is a picnic table to 4 loungers down there for use. The property is fairly long and skinny with the house on one side and the river on the other. It means that there isn't a lot of wandering room once you are down at the river (private property on either side). But it was a great place to get away from the folks in the house for a few minutes and listen/watch the river.
The area around the house is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the 30 minute drive into Leavenworth. a couple tips regarding driving directions: Chumstick Hwy from the South (East) is beautiful, but very windy. If prone to car sickness would recommend taking the Chumstick Hwy from the North (West) end instead. The driveway to the property is also tricky to find. The directions talk about a red house and mailboxes (which are both easy to find), but the driveway angles (almost parallel) off of the road BETWEEN the mailboxes and red house and it's hard to tell it's an actual driveway. Once you find it, there aren't any issues finding it again.
This is a wonderful house and property and I highly recommend!
Beautiful and clean getaway
This home is beautiful and clean. The foosball table was fun! The sitting area upstairs is really nice with a beautiful view. The master bedroom has the hot tub right outside and it is kept clean and felt great in the cold weather! I wish we could have walked to the river but we didn’t pack snow boots and the snow was pretty high. It is a beautiful in the winter and bet it is just beautiful in the summer. It was so nice to see the stars and have such quiet! Thank you!
Cozy Winter Vibes
We had a hard time with directions since it was snowy and dark and the instructions included looking for a gravel driveway and certain house before going down a different lane, but once we got there, we were very impressed! It was great to pull up to the cabin with the outside light on, clean space, and already heated. Plenty of room for the four of us, one couple in the master room downstairs and one couple in one of the smaller bedrooms upstairs. I’m used to small studios and apartments so I wasn’t bothered by the two smaller bedrooms upstairs. The bedroom closets had some hangers and a chest of drawers for clothes, night stands on each side. The upstairs bedrooms are really just for sleeping, and there are so many more amenities to take advantage of like the fireplace outside on the balcony, BBQ grill, small tv in the family room/kitchen area, and another tv with some older DVDs, board games, and foosball in the downstairs livings room. We didn’t utilize the kitchen much, but it was stocked with plenty of utensils, kitchen equipment, plates, cups, pots, pans, etc., even a cupcake tray and gingerbread cookie cutter! The cabin layout is a bit odd since it was hard to find some light switches, but the labels on some of them really helped.
As others mentioned, wi-fi was not that strong, but we didn’t need to rely on it too much since we still had cell data. Plus you don’t need your cell phone when you’re hanging out in the hot tub! There were sleds and even a badminton net/rackets provided. The instructions were a bit confusing for removing the lid on the hot tub so that took a while, and there are also some other cabins nearby so if people are outside you’ll most likely hear them, but that’s only because it’s so quiet outside. For the most part though, it was very relaxing and peaceful. About an hour from Stevens Pass, and 30 minutes from Leavenworth. Overall, great cabin to stay at for all seasons!
We are located on the Chiwawa River. Tubing, kayaking or just playing in the river is great fun. The small but mighty town of Plain is located just minutes from our cabin. Fun activities include cross country skiing ,zip line, horse back riding, sleigh rides, two local wineries, farmers market in the summer just to name a few of the many things to do so close to cabin.
