About Brant & Benjamin
I have been coming to Caddo Lake since I was a young boy. When you experience Caddo Lake as a child it is like going back in prehistoric times, before we knew what Jurassic Park was. I have grown-up fishing, swimming, boating, hunting, water skiing, bird-watching, and contemplating God's wonders on this unexplainable swamp. Words do it no justice, pictures only a failing eye's glimpse, the only way to know Caddo Lake is to come and "Feel" it from Sunrise to Sunrise in every Season.
Brant & Benjamin purchased this Lodge in 2010

Our family stayed for Thanksgiving weed end and we had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious. We had a wonderful time.
We are glad your stay at our home was enjoyable. Hope to have you visit again.
Even Better Then I Thought It Would Be
The house has multiple floors and and is very spacious. The view of the lake from the house is amazing with a nice fishing dock. The pool was clean and well maintained. Tips for those considering this property would be as follows:
1. If you have AT&T cell phones, you will not have service. There are phones in the house but you can't use them.
2. The electricity went out in the kitchen area and had to find a local person that could help me contact the owner to get it fixed. It was fixed promptly after notification
3. If you have a large group, check all the beds when you get there. One of the beds we did not use did not have a mattress on it.
4. The house is not handicap friendly
Awesome Waterfront House! Great Views and Beautiful Place
We stayed at the house for a two day fishing weekend and we couldn't have had a better place to stay on the lake. House was very clean, updated and comfortable living. The owner was very responsive and accommodating prior to our stay. Overall, if you're looking for a place on Caddo Lake this is the spot. I highly recommend. Even caught a nice bass off the dock! Thank you for the great memories and experience.
We are so glad that you all had a great experience at our Lake House! We look forward to having you all again soon, thank you!
Spacious and Comfortable
We really liked this house. The three kids shared the bedroom with a queen and a single and the two couples each had their own bedrooms. The master bedroom is especially nice. The living room is enormous and well furnished. The house has two large dining tables, both of which can seat eight comfortably. The kitchen appliances all worked well except for the coffee maker which had rusted out and leaked. Fortunately, there's also a Keurig. Also, it'd be helpful if there were written instructions for the thermostats and TVs. It took us awhile to figure out the big TV and we never really got the hang of the thermostats. We could control the temperature, but at times the air conditioner came on. The weather outside was in the 30s!
The view of the lake was wonderful. We'd like to come back in warmer weather sometime and take full advantage of the lake.
Thanks for your stay, the coffee pot has been replaced and Hvac has been serviced and tweaked. Thank you for your feedback to improve our home vacation experience. We hope to have you again.
This was a fantastic place for our Thanksgiving holiday.
The location was perfect for our kayaking adventures and the home was clean and very spacious. My daughter and I had plenty of room in the kitchen to cook large breakfasts and our holiday meal that we enjoyed at the dining room table with views of the lake. The house has an amazingly large living room with a second dining table that we used for card games. We loved the split levels of the home and the deck was a great place to relax. We have a large family and this home provided us with all the living space that we needed fo time together and also for quiet times alone. We were still there when my husband was already recommending it to our friends. We would love to stay here again the next time we are on Caddo Lake.
We are glad that you were able to relax and enjoy your stay at our home. We hope to see you again.
The location is beautiful but it ends there.. The house was beyond dirty and had not been cleaned from the previous rental..
EVERYTHING was dusty, dirty and there was garbage and broken items all over outside. The pool was green at the bottom and we swam 1 time and it was too cloudy to use again.
The floors, corners, fans, dresser tops, dishes were all dirty. The outside deck had broken toys, items and garbage on both levels. The gas grill was UNUSABLE DUE TO FILTH AND DIRTY UTENSILS IN IT (no propane either)
No canoes, no kayaks.
There was a small glitch of the house being locked upon arrival and we were unable to get in but Larry came immediately..
We paid to be able to swim, bbq and kayak/canoe but not 1 of those were usable.
I have used vrbo to rent places as well as renting out my own property gir many years and unfortunately this owner and property make a bad name for everyone.
I spoke with the guest and told them that if they needed anything that I would do what ever they needed they did not contact me again about any problems. If they were so disappointed they should have contacted me. We will address this with the cleaning service.
Welcome To Uncertain Texas What's in a name? The whole history of a town whose remote beginnings reflect the nature of the place, a place of exotic beauty, deep secrets, the haunts of wildlife where those who need respite for their souls can find harmony and peace. Uncertain, long the shores of Caddo Lake has, for over a hundred years, provided a means for launching into another world--a fishing hole, a cathedral of cypress, a paradise of the past. There are so many reasons for experiencing Caddo and Uncertain,Texas, whether it be to catch a trophy bass, reflect quietly at the water's edge , explore every nook that can float a canoe, photograph it, or paint it, Caddo Lake seems to reward, at every turn, those who come to see and feel and experience one of nature's most special places. Caddo Lake, the mysterious and intriguing Texas treasure, is stretched across the Texas-Louisiana border. Caddo was designated in 1971, by the international Ramsar Treaty, as a "Wetlands of International Importance. Caddo is Texas' only naturally formed lake and covers 32,700 acres of a maze of channels, meandering bayous, and sloughs within thousands of acres of Spanish moss draped bald cypress. The City of Uncertain was incorporated in 1961 as a Type B, General Law City with a mayor and five aldermen on an at large basis. Uncertain has about 150 friendly residents who enjoy sharing their bit of paradise in Uncertain, TX with the outside world. They invite you to come and spend some time in Texas best kept secret, Caddo Lake.Caddo has been dubbed "the best photo spot in Texas. May and June, hundreds of female Red-ear Sliders come ashore to lay eggs. The City of Uncertain posts "Turtle Crossing" signs along the roadways to alert motorists to watch for the "reptilian mothers" crossing the roads. Caddo Lake was the site of the world's first off-shore drilling for oil. A major pearl industry operated on Caddo Lake in the 1920s. Pearls were found in the freshwater mussels in the sandy shallows of the cypress brakes. Steamboats, loaded with goods destined for the developing west, traveled through Caddo Lake in route to Jefferson, Texas. Because of fluctuating water levels, mooring was often "uncertain."
