About Leslie Lee

I rented this cabin for years from the prior owners and have always loved it here. I'm an avid hiker and nature lover, and the setting at the cabin feels like you're way back in the mountains. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Leslie Lee purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Leslie Lee chose Baring

The world drops away the minute you cross the suspension bridge and wind down the tree-lined road. It's a perfect get-away, a bit over an hour from Seattle, in the loveliest setting.

What makes this cabin unique

Beautiful trees and river. Huge slabs of moss covered granite. Quiet & peaceful with nothing but the sounds of the river and an occasional distant train whistle. A hot tub overlooking the river. And the cabin is an artist made, quirky, charming, cozy restful place.

Charming and Relaxed

This is a beautiful little haven. Right on the river, hot tub and the upstairs bedroom/window is priceless. The kitchen has everything, fire pit outside, gas stove inside, it is a real special retreat!

A perfect little cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was just what we were looking for. Just the right spot for two people and a dog. The property is beautiful, right between a roaring creek and the deep woods. There are hiking trails within reach, and a few sites to see up the road a ways. We loved it, and we'd return for another visit.

Serene, magical, romantic, natures perfection.

  • 5 of 5

Amazing space. Charming details, cozy size. Perfect for two. Amazing loft sleeping area and magical catwalk with couch in front of a huge window overlooking the churning creek. Foliage was perfect mid-October. Heated bathroom floor was extra cozy. Perfect getaway for two. One of my two favorite places in Washington to visit.

The experience of camping but with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

We had a most wonderful time. The weather, the power outage, being delayed by repairs on the bridge added to the adventure! I highly recommend the hike to the waterfalls that’s on the property. Nice easy hike without having to drive out of the property

Away from it all

  • 5 of 5

It was exactly what we were looking for! Quiet and solitude in a beautiful setting. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the river was just the relaxation we needed. The cabin was warm and cozy and perfect for two people. We spent all weekend listening to the river and the rain and one night, a thunderstorm! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in. Good connection on the Wifi. The heated bathroom floor was a delight. There are games to play and books to read. The beds were comfortable. We just slept in the smaller bed downstairs since neither of us felt that drinking wine and climbing a ladder was a good idea. There are wonderful little artistic touches all around the cabin, including the whimsical door handles going out the back deck. A great place to relax and recharge your batteries. We would come back here in a heartbeat the next time we need to get away from it all.
