Desert Skypad’s very private outdoor space underwent a ground up renovation in 2015. Led by the home’s owner with an architectural and design team, the mission was to create a fully modern outdoor play space that would complement and highlight Wexler's Mid-Century modernist architecture.
Featured prominently outside is the sparkling and multi-colored LED lit swimming pool 16' x 32' foot pool and an elevated spa which waterfalls into the pool. Surrounded by views, the elevated sun deck and 8 person spa with extra powerful spa jets creates a magical experience.
In addition, a new, modern outdoor living/dining pavilion with its remote controlled sheer solar shade affords you and your guests’ a respite from the afternoon sun while still allowing for spectacular views while you lounge under the pavilion. Two remote controlled lighted ceiling fans, 360 degree misting system, 2 comfortable sofas and a dining table with seating for 8 provides a chic, protected area for gathering, lounging or dining during the day or evening.
There is a Kitchen Aid gas grill and a stainless service counter by the pavilion, so you are steps away from serving your guests at the outdoor table. A large outdoor fire feature warms the pavilion on cooler evenings.

TAXES: This tax is 11.5 percent of the full rental price (including the cleaning fee). This is the same type tax that hotels charge, unless you are renting for 28 days or longer in which case this Palm Springs tax does not apply. VRBO includes this in its cost calculation and will collect tax as part of total payment.
SAFETY & LIABILITY: The safety of all persons in the rental party as well as any guests is the sole responsibility of the Renter. This includes any children and/or pets of the Renter’s or of the Renter’s guests. WARNING: The property has not been child proofed, does not have a separate fence separating the pool from the house nor an alarm to signal doors to the pool area being opened. In addition, there are no handrails for entry/exit into the pool or spa. The property also contains many succulents, common to the area, that have thorns that can be dangerous and must be avoided. By signing below Renter absolves the owner and his agents or representatives of any liability or responsibility regarding any injury to any member of the Renter’s party or his guests. No diving is allowed and that's especially true from the raised spa platform.
SEPARATE CONTRACT: Guests and Host will both execute a separate rental contract/lease. A copy will be furnished after booking, or prior to booking upon request. Please take time to read and understand the House Rules if you decide to move forward with renting.
PET POLICY - As a general rule pets are not allowed. However we will consider 1 small dog (under 30 lbs) who is well trained and house broken. Frequent or prolonged barking outside is prohibited by law. Please contact owner to discuss. If approved there is an additional $100 cleaning fee per stay. Owners are required to pickup all dog waste or there will be additional charges to their deposit. Additionally no prolonged barking (5 minutes) outside is allowed.
HOLIDAYS: Thanksgiving and Christmas 2018 and New Years 2018/2019 have a 4-5 night minimum and a holiday nightly rate of $1600 per night, plus taxes, if any. This higher rate is waived for weekly or monthly rentals that include those specific holidays.
MUSIC FESTIVALS: Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festival weekends in 2018 and beyond have a 3 night minimum and a rate of $1600 per night, plus taxes, if any. In addition, the renter must be 35 or older.
MAINTENANCE: Renter to maintain the property and its contents in the condition in which it is found. Contents of the property damaged or taken from the premises are the responsibility of the renter. Owner warrants that the property is in the condition shown in the pictures shown on AIRBNB for this listing.
EVENTS AND PARTIES: No events or parties involving more than a total of 8 occupants (as named in the lease document)
