We are Ken and Julie Labbe, the Owners/Managers of 2-2 bedrooms and 2-1 bedroom apartments at 625-631 Law St in the north Pacific Beach area of San Diego, CA 92109. We both grew up in the Pacific Beach area and live about 10 minutes away from the property.

The location is ideal, close enough to walk to local coffee shops, bars and restaurants, yet far enough to get away from the crowds. Law St is a great street with a true neighborhood feel. Each of the apartments has been carefully restored by Ken and are lovingly maintained to wow you with the cleanliness we work hard to provide
The Owners are also the managers and strive to provide you with a vacation home away from home that you will want to return to year after year.
My husband and I stayed for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We have stayed at several locations within a 3 block radius of this condo. This was the best view we have had. The condo itself was immaculate and had everything we needed. Renters DO NOT need a car. Everything is within walking distance.
My wife and I are retirees from AZ. We rented this unit for 10 days in August and everything was great. The unit must have been remodeled recently as everything was new and spotlessly clean. All the appliances and electronics worked well. I like to stream video and baseball games over the internet and their Wi-Fi was plenty fast for this. They also had a Bluray player, so we were able to watch the DVD's we had taken with us. The kitchen had a good sized refrigerator and all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, etc. You need to bring your own spices or buy them when you get there. We had a nice view of the ocean from our kitchen and deck, and a very short walk (about 2 minutes) to the beach. The owners were very helpful and available. The parking in their garage was a little tight, but we were able to get our car, a full sized Toyota Highlander SUV into it without any trouble. The section of Pacific beach that was near the unit was a little quieter and less crowded than where we used to go at Mission Beach. Plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place.
Julie was great to work with and easy to get ahold of when the tv malfunctioned. The location was great and only a 5 minute walk to Pacific Beach where daily surfing and yoga classes were held. The garage was shared with another renter and was rather full with the two cars but if careful any beach gear like surf boards may be securely stored. A hose is outside on the patio to rinse sand off. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. All needed cooking utensils are supplied. Has a gas stove and oven next to a standard refrigerator/freezer combo.Grocery stores like sprouts and Ralph's are within 10 minutes. Only complaint is that there is no a/c system. We stayed in August and needed all the windows open and fan on to drop the temperature to the low 70's (whatever the temperature was outside).
The place could not have been lovelier! It is clean and cozy, perfect for a couple. And the location was amazing. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the surfers at the beach right across the street. And there was an entrance to a walkway that ran above the beach right into town. We never had to use our car while in PB. You could walk to restaurants, bars, shops, or just to get an ice cream cone. We definitely hope to come back one day!
As other people have noted, the rental is scrupulously clean, quiet, and it has great access to Pacific Beach. Parking is a little tricky and I recommend renting a small car so you can fit more easily into the space in the garage. I loved the apartment; it was just perfect for us!
Prior reviews are right on...the location is amazing. We have stayed in many vrbo rentals, this was by far the cleanest, best kept/maintained property we have ever stayed. If you are looking for something fancy this isn't your spot. If you are looking for a clean property close to EVERYTHING this IS your spot. Loved having laundry available onsite. Our favorite part of the day was grabbing beach chairs and walking over to the park to watch the surfers and the sunset. The key less entry is brilliant - we might even do them at home. We appreciated having a BBQ available.
A couple years ago we stayed at another property in PB that had a lot of alley noise. The only time we heard anything was garbage day and that was minimal at Law Street. The kitchen is equipped with every tool you need to prepare meals. If you want/need spices bring them. One detail we loved was the quality silverware and dishes which made it feel like home.
Ralph's, Trader Joes, Sprouts, CVS and the post office are all within easy walking distance. If you want great Mexican food try La Perla on Emerald. The shrimp tacos are amazing. If you want the best burger in town check out Rocky's Crown Pub on Ingraham. Be sure and go to the Farmer's Market in Little Italy on Saturday. La Jolla also has a great Farmer's Market on Sunday's.
The best deal in San Diego is taking the ferry to/from Coronado Island to/from downtown San Diego. Just $4.25 per person one way gets you out on the water. One day we drove to Coronado, took the ferry to town and walked to the Farmer's Market in Little Italy.
We hope to return sooner than later to this gem. Thank you Ken and Julie for providing such a fantastic property to those of us who want to visit San Diego.
