About Roberto E de la Ossa T
This amazing property was named, Milla la Maria, after the owner and retired International Relations professor, Roberto E. de la Ossa T’ s late mother. Professor de la Ossa fell in love with the location back in the mid seventies. He purchased the property in the early 80’s and over the course of twenty five years has not only established a magnificent vacation home for himself and his family, but has recently opened up the possibility for travelling families, groups, and individuals to rent and enjoy “La Casona” (as this unique land mark is fondly referred to by locals and outsiders who have had the opportunity to spend some time at Milla La Marìa).
Roberto E de la Ossa T purchased this House in 1981

The Octagon House
Just wanted to say that our family of 5 was so excited to stay in one of our favorite places in the world, Santa Teresa! We saw pictures online of the house we rented for the week and knew it would be nice. Our expectations were blew out of the water! The house was AMAZING! So spacious and beautiful! Full amenities, very clean and lots of love was put into this home for sure. Roberto and his son have lots of history here! First home built in Santa Teresa back in the 70’s from the wood they shipped by boat from Montezuma. Gorgeous home! It was hard to leave I must say. The lush landscaping, iguanas the kids enjoyed as well as howler monkeys who visited as well made the trip even more adventurous. The pool and short walk to the beach kept us busy. We had a wonderful women named Malania who was so sweet and kind to keep the house tidy and make sure our home was cared for as we left for excursions. We will miss her as well! Thank u Roberto! We will be back for sure!!!!!
fantastic get away
everything was wonderful! especially the hospitality of the owner, his son, and the housekeeper. this is a quiet oasis in santa teresa beach. we loved the pool and the gardens that led to the ocean. the house was incredibly spacious and welcoming! would we stay here again? absolutely!!!!
Great home with a local style and wonderful location.
Great place and great experience.
This property is fantastic, this is why I have returned and will return again and again.
This is a house with bedrooms including bathrooms for each and separate exterior entrances for three of them. Living room/dining room/kitchen space spans the downstairs opening out onto the pool. The property spans from the road to the beach, the gardens on the property are lovely. The pool is fresh water. The beach and the swimming is AMAZING fabulous and wonderful. The owner, Roberto, is lovely and anticipates your every need, he also has actively upgraded the house so many wonderful surprises every time. He arranges transport to and from Tambor. Melanina maintains the house - cleans, laundry, makes beds, and helps in many ways.
The town is lovely, I recommend you rent bikes, there is yoga, restaurants, swimming, snorkel, surfing, and Swell is a recent shop with women's clothing that is super sweet.
love love love this place
Great home for a group. Lots of privacy from neighbouring properties with excellent location.
This is our 2nd time staying at Milla la Maria. It's rustically charming and warm. May not be the most upscale modern accomodation but its rustic charm and ideal location make up
for that. Roberto the home's owner is a pleasure to deal with too. Leaving after 2 weeks feeling very relaxed and blissed out. Santa Teresa is a haven of laid back tranquility on of the world's best beaches.
