Recently remodeled 1926 home above Union town with wrap around decks with large living space, including living room, kitchen and dining room to comfortably accommodate 2-8 people. New Hot Tub w/View! Watch the ships travel under the Megler through the two large picture windows in the living room. Share a drink and BBQ on the back deck while watching the sun set, or the eagles and herons fly above. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. Downstairs there is a sauna in the Finnish tradition. Upstairs two bedrooms one overlooking the same amazing view, and both with comfortable pillow-top queen mattresses. Bathroom upstairs for easy access. Ask about additional beds/accommodations for a larger group. There is a new hide-a-bed couch in a common area. Home is at the end of a quiet dead-end road, with local traffic only. We have acquired a lodging permit from the city of Astoria. Great walking trail leads to a nice walk to the top of the hill or down a staircase to connect to sidewalks for a walk down to the trolley, to take you and your family to town, or to the esplanade to bike or walk to town on your own. Owner lives in attached apartment in basement.

About Meg & Frank Linza
Frank and I fell in love with Astoria and began to look for a view home. We were fortunate to find not one but two homes side by side, both built in the 1920's on the bedrock above the Columbia high on the hillside. Frank is a finish carpenter and cabinet maker and you will find his charming style throughout both homes. We are now permanent residents of Astoria. Please let us know how we can make your stay memorable.
Meg & Frank Linza purchased this Lodge in 2014
Why Meg & Frank Linza chose Astoria
The view sold us the minute we visited Floral Ave. The vistas are endless as are the sunsets, with the constant traffic of ships traveling through the channel. This year we noticed the eagles. Several bald eagles travel to and from their nest above our home. The homes are located at a level above the Columbia River where the birds fly. The location provides for easy access to the beaches of Fort Stevens out of Hammond and Warrenton, the antique stores and boutiques in Astoria, the numerous breweries, and award-winning restaurants, the Astoria Column, and across the river, the Long Beach peninsula. There is history everywhere. Astoria is the oldest city west of the Mississippi.
What makes this Lodge unique
Every weekend there is a festival, making Astoria a very busy town in the summer. Book early as the town fills up fast. We hope you will allow us to help introduce you to our new discovery of the wonders of the north coast of Oregon.

Great Columbia Crossing Weekend
This was the third year we have rented this property for this event. It works perfect for our family. The view is amazing! The house is very well appointed. The use of the hot tub this year was an added bonus for the grand kids. We have already booked it for next year.
Lovely!! Of course the weather was perfect. So was the view!
Very comfortable! Only suggestion would be to use cleaning products without fragrance. It was really strong smelling. The owners built a lovely fire in the outside pit adding to our evening enjoyment. Fully equipped kitchen. Dining table was large enough for puzzle and cards-at the same time!!! Comfortable living room chairs and sofas. Thanks.
Thank you for the suggestion. We always find them helpful. Yes, it seems we can't win. We get one review that the basement smells musty so in order to try to squelch the smell we added Airwicks, though I think for some these are over-powering. I will take them out and let the guests decide if they are needed or not. Our home is cleaned with fragrance-free products, as is the laundry. We had a lovely time visiting with the ladies of Port Townsend and hearing stories of the many adventures.
Astoria has many fine features, so does this wonderful home!
Astoria is a great town. Rich history, picturesque setting, beautiful architecture, wonderful people. And this home is the perfect base of operations, so much so, that my wife and I enjoyed simply staying home one day, enjoying the awesome view of the bridge and ships, watching the eagles circle about, soaking in the hot tub, and just luxuriating in the comfort of this well appointed, well equipped home.
There’s even a high quality foosball table in the basement!
Great place to stay!
The house worked out great for us--loved the decks and the view was outstanding. We were mesmerized by the ship traffic and the tidal changes. Meg is a very responsive owner and lovely lady. We definitely recommend this house.
Our group really enjoyed staying at this property. It is close to a lot of different activities.
What a spectacular view it has. We enjoyed just watching the activities out on the water. Meg was very helpful in suggesting things for us to do as well as setting up fires and hot tub.
Great older home with up to date renovations. View from living room & decks are wonderful.
We would use property again & will recommend it to our friends.
