Log Cabin With 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 1,855 Sq Feet
This authentic, rustic log cabin sits atop an apsen-covered ridge and enjoys sweeping views of Mt. Princeton and the Buffalo Peaks. The cabin was completely updated in 2010 with high-end amenities that still remain true to the rustic appeal. You will enjoy a beautiful wood burning fire place; reclaimed pine floors; expansive windows with gorgeous views; knotty alder kitchen cabinets with high-end appliances; two beautiful bathrooms with custom tile work and heated floors; comfortable, Ralph Lauren style furnishings; custom built-ins; free internet; a wrap-around deck; 4 acres to explore; and lots of privacy.
This place is a true get-away destination in the heart of Park County Colorado. From the comfort of this cozy cabin, you will enjoy quiet time for plenty of relaxation, book reading, cooking in the gourmet kitchen, outdoor exploration- and, yes, even working if you are so inclined. Not only will you love exploring the area and the views from the cabin, but you will also enjoy that it is centrally located and within 30-60 minutes of many Colorado sights and famous skiing and fishing areas.
The cabin is comfortable year-round- warm and cozy in the winters and cool in the summers. The summers are still and quiet, with lush green aspens and wildflowers, temperatures in the 70's, starry skies, and occasional thunderstorms. The fall changing of the aspens are spectacular and cast a golden glow over the whole property in September. The winters are beautiful and you can watch winter storms come up over the mountain ridges and pass through the valleys; snow accumulation is generally minimal. The springs are true Colorado fashion with warm sun one hour and dramatic snow showers the next- quite an awesome sight to witness.
The cabin has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a loft area, perfect for playing or accommodating sleeping bags. It has all of the comforts of home and the supplies you will need to enjoy your stay, including: satellite tv, high speed internet, dvd player and movies, board games and puzzles, toys for young children, linens and paper goods, kitchen supplies, popcorn machine, washer and dryer, gas grill, and fire pit.

About Ken and Christine
My husband and I are Colorado natives. We currently live in Broomfield Colorado, which is close to Boulder. We have 2 sons.
Why Ken and Christine chose Como
We love the Colorado Mountains and have always dreamed of owning a log cabin. When we found this one, we fell in love with the charm of it. It's not too big and not too small. Just the perfect size to feel cozy and warm. The view is beautiful from the side porch and the grounds make you feel like you are in a secluded forest all by yourselves.

we LOVE moose cabin...
we are so grateful to Ken+Christine for sharing their gem of a retreat with us. previous reviewers have said it all... for a gorgeous + peaceful getaway, spend some time here. wonderful destination with incredibly lovely owners. everyone arrived home rested and renewed... even our pups!!
We loved our stay here. The custom workmanship on this cabin is excellent. We really appreciated the higher-end features and luxe decorator touches throughout. No detail was overlooked for a comfortable and enjoyable family stay. There were plenty of kitchen items to cook, bake or barbecue any dish you might imagine as well as spices and basics like condiments, sugar, flour and even brown sugar. We hiked throughout the property to enjoy the surrounding mountain views and bracing Colorado air. Indoors, there was plenty to do as well with the large game room above the attached garage and board games and books in the main cabin. Custom fabrics, comfortable beds and lovely cabin art throughout made us feel like welcome friends. The heaters are adjustable by area (upstairs, downstairs, bedroom and baths) and the fireplace made for fantastic mountain atmosphere. Be sure to get your groceries before arrival as the last 25 minutes or so of driving is on a gravel road and you don't want to go back on it in the dark to get a loaf of bread! Do not let that deter your vist; just plan ahead. Overall, a wonderful family holiday.
Stunning rustic but elegant cabin. Very comfortable. Would love to stay there again!
Absulutely wonderful cabin with stunning views. Wish we could have stayed longer and that the weather was warmer so we could have enjoyed the beautiful property more!
Beautiful Mountain Home
Such a beautiful home. We loved this location being remote and amazing Mountain Views. If you are looking for remote and quiet this is a great location and so much hospitality. All the perks. I don’t recommend this location if you are planning to spend time in the ski resorts though because the drive is really long and weather not always good
Luxury mountain living in secluded Colorado hideaway!
My new wife and I chose Ken and Christine's cabin in Como to spend the first week of our honeymoon and boy did we pick a winner! Every inch of their cabin was wonderfully detailed, luxuriously equipped, and spectacularly clean. We especially loved the fireplace and living room area, which was stocked with a myriad of games, movies, TV, and other activities. The gorgeous cabin aside, our hosts were wonderful- they decorated for Christmas for us and even shared a complimentary bottle of wine with us. We'd stay here again in an instant!
We loved it!!!
Great place to go for fires, quite, relax, and get back to nature. We absolutely loved the cabin. The pics don't show the garage and rec room above, it's awesome! Fireplace and backgammon way our cavities along with the kitchen and great views. We did a lot of hiking and relaxing. Thank you so great
