About Victoria & Brad Myers

We are Brad & Victoria Myers . . . . . part of an extended family of 5 generations living in the Bay Area with roots in the area reaching back to the 1850's. Though we've lived and traveled in a number of countries, we always come back to Northern California, which is home in our hearts. No matter the time of year, we particularly love to rest and refresh in the California Sierras, the Gold Country, and our favorite park, Yosemite.

Victoria & Brad Myers purchased this house in 1987

Why Victoria & Brad Myers chose Groveland

Our home property was originally purchased with funds from our grandparents and constructed/built, by our parents, with their own hands. Over the years, during our many trips to the family home in Pine Mountain Lake, Brad and I knew that we'd like our growing family to enjoy Lakeview Lodge as well . . .

A place to retreat from the hustle of the Bay Area. A place for extended family and friends memories. Over the last three years we've made substantial upgrades to Lakeview Lodge and each year moving forward we'll continue the renovation process . . . We know your family / group will have many happy memories here as well.

What makes this house unique

Our family enjoys sitting out on the decks with the beautiful views of the lake, both early in the morning - watching deer, fox and other small creatures and in the evening as possum and raccoon pass by. The upper and lower decks, surrounded by Pine and Oak trees, give plenty of room for friends and family to relax and socialize. Pool table "tournaments" in the game room is a favorite of family and guests. Though some guests think only of nearly Yosemite Park, Pine Mountain Lake and Groveland are a destination within itself - with swimming/sun bathing & BBOs at the nearby popular Marina Beach with it's great snack bar and sail, canoe and paddle boat rentals. There's golfing, horseback riding, community pool, tennis courts, archery, hiking and more.

Great views and great location!

  • 4 of 5

Victoria was more than accommodating during our stay. I planned a group weekend trip with my big family and the house had everything we needed from Towels, blankets and kitchen supplies. Victoria was very responsive and it made the planning that much easier. I would stay here again!

Great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the gorgeous view of the lake and the peaceful comfort of this home and area. The owners were very helpful, offering advice for activities and preparations, and answering questions upon our arrival. I would definitely recommend this.

Haunted house

  • 1 of 5

Over all I give very poor rating to the house on below factors.

1. Guess patios were never cleaned for long time it's full of spider web every where and furniture was never cleaned meaning lot of dust and spider in 2 patios . First impression bad impression

2. For a people of 12 , when rented owner allowed only 2 small trash bags , which is crazy . 2 trash bags for 12 people for 2 nights

3. Bath room rolls , no extra roll was provided and the ones that were there was half used.

4. Beds and comforters were so dusty , we ended up with cough and cold .

5. Rented so many vacation homes and this is by far the low rated house.

Considering all other 9 friends who stayed with me, I haven't heard a positive review from them instead every one willing to provide reviews on how bad they felt.

Owner's Response: Hi Srikanth, To be honest I was dismayed when I read your review. After dozens of positive reviews . . . sigh. We immediately contacted our cleaning service, actually copied and pasted your review and sent to them, asking, What happened??? All the more inexcusable, is that we have a written housekeeping To-Do list, very specific that is taped to the inside one of the housekeeping closet doors for housekeeping staff to review during/after each cleaning. And they include in part, items mentioned in your review. As I said to the housekeeping service, we can have a lovely place, great location, great response time, sufficient pots/pans, supplies, etc. and it's all for not, if the decks are not clean and supplies promised as not available and easily accessible to guests. Ugh! Our sincere apology to you and your group. Our housekeeping owners, went over the To-Do list with the cleaning crew (apparently they have some new employees) and we are leaving today, ourselves, to spend a few days at the property, keep out all, meet housekeeping staff and walk-through property . . . Again our apologies that Lakeview Lodge was not to your or our standards. . . Victoria

Felt like coming home a year later!

We love coming to PML and are happy to have found this cabin as it has a great open kitchen and dining area/living room space that our family enjoys. We look forward to having the downstairs 4th bedroom being completed! Thank you Victoria for making your place available!

gorgeous views and great location!

If you are looking for a nice house that can hold a large family (or group), with an awesome view of the lake, near Yosemite, then this is the place for you! My extended family had a lot of fun alternately "hanging out" (swimming in the lake and playing games) and going into Yosemite throughout our trip. Victoria, one of the owners, is planning to begin an "updating" renovation soon and l should imagine that it will be a five star home after that!
