This cozy condo located within Savannah's Landmark Historic District is just steps away from historic Greene Square, among the antebellum homes, and beneath the live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. The famed Pirate's House is a short walk away and just beyond is exciting River Street. There is no more convenient location.

The parade route for St. Patrick's Day celebration is a block away.

Enjoy home-away-from-home comforts for your visit to 'America's most beautiful city.' Situated on the second floor of an historic, circa 1915 brick building, this unit offers one bedroom plus a convertible sleeper sofa and accommodates up to 3 guests. There is one full bath with a shower. High quality linens and towels provided. The kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and is outfitted with amenities needed to prepare a large meal. The living room provides seating for a total of 4. There is a flat screen TV, Roku streaming player and Netflix. High-speed WiFi is also included.

The condo is pet friendly.

PARKING - There is both Metered Parking and Free Parking! Parking is relatively easy at this location. There are meters on the north side of the building that are usually unoccupied. The meters are FREE on Saturday and Sunday and are enforced Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. If you go less than 1/2 of a block to Greene Square, Parking is free, as well as on the south side of the building. You may also pay for a visitors pass at the Welcome Center which allows you to park at meters and not have to pay.

Early check-in! Our standard check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Text when you get into town to see if you may check in early.

About Jennifer Restivo

My husband and I moved to Savannah in 2006 from Carmel, California. We traveled here in 2005 to 'meet the parents' before we married. This property is fun, funky and groovy. Very much a community feel - you may meet locals in the courtyard who are friendly and a wealth of information. This unit is less than a 10 minute walk to River Street! It is airy and recently updated. It's location combined with the price is next to none! Walk across the street to enjoy a meal at Cha Bella or grab a Conquistador sandwich at Zunzi's for a picnic in Greene Square.

Good value with pros and cons

I reserved the condo on President Street for a solo birthday trip. While this property undoubtedly has its pros, there are a few cons. Most (but not all) of the cons are out of the owner's control and simply characteristics of the physical property, which is somewhat older.

PRO: The location is conveniently located at the edge of the Historic District and is within walking distance or a short drive to several restaurants, shops, and green spaces. Jennifer provided an eclectic listing of restaurant suggestions--one of which I visited (Cotton & Rye) on the first evening of my trip.

PRO: Since my visit was during the week, parking was easy. Throughout my stay I used the free spaces conveniently situated in front of the condo entrance. I used metered parking only once for about an hour, paying less than $2. The lock box is a bit cumbersome.

PRO: The inside of the condo is extremely clean, well stocked, and attractively decorated.

CON: The condo is an inside unit, so the view is of the brick building next door.

CON: At night, there's an outdoor flood light that shines into the uncovered kitchen window. This could be an issue if someone is using the sleeper sofa in the living room. I overcame the lighting situation by closing the blinds, drapery, and door in the bedroom while sleeping.

CON: There is a noise factor to consider. The steps at the back of the building are metal. The clanking from people trekking up and down the steps late at night caused my sleep to be disrupted. Also, the walls seem to be thin. I could hear the neighbor talking and moving about occasionally. I could also clearly hear conversations from the group exiting via the metal steps late at night.

CON: My reservation got off to a shaky start when Jennifer sent me a text (while I was in route from Atlanta to Savannah) asking if she could access the property between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m the next day. I was extremely uncomfortable with the request, which in my opinion was inconsiderate and inappropriate. I felt rushed to wake up, get ready, and be out of the unit mid-way during my reservation. At the end of my stay, I shared my discomfort with Jennifer. She informed me that ultimately she did not access the unit. The request turned out to be an inconvenience that could have been avoided. Jennifer was apologetic, but defensive in her response. This left me feeling annoyed.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I am very clear in the description that this is an INTERIOR unit. Glad you brought that up so people will see this in more than one place. I will be adding curtains to the kitchen. I never understood how light from the kitchen could interrupt sleep in the bedroom, which is on the other side of the unit. That being said, I will add curtains. There are blinds and black out curtains in the bedroom. As far as the requested visit, there are things that need to be maintained, just like any house. She could have simply said no, but chose to tell me after the fact that she was very uncomfortable. There needs to be open communication between the guest and myself. My insurance adjuster was in town and wanted to go through the property to assure things were in order. Yes, this is a condo unit - you will hear noise. Please consider before booking. We have priced this unit accordingly for all of these nuances. We provide a clean, safe and affordable unit - especially considering the location. We also allow dogs. We are on the north east side of the historic district, walking distance to everything AND there is free parking in the area (I can't think of another urban town that offers such).

The apartment was lovely and the location, perfect. We were disappointed that we couldn't get the TV to work. We called Jennifer for help, left a message and never heard back.

Bohemian flats is a great place to stay.

The location is great. We walked to the river in a few minutes. The condo was up stairs, but not bad. The security was great. The view not too impressive, as you are looking at a fire escape and a brick wall. We didn't spend much time at the condo, so that was ok.The cleanliness and accommodations were wonderful . Kitchen had everything we needed.

Great Location!!

My BF and I stayed here for St. Patrick's Day and really enjoyed our stay. This unit was clean and well stocked with everything you might need. Great for a couple or a family of 4 with small children. The sleeper sofa is a little small for 2 adults to sleep on. The location is great. We parked our car on arrival and didn't get back in till time to leave. Everything is within walking distance! Also, it was just far enough from the bars and restaurants to be quiet at night. We would stay again the next time we make our way to Savannah.

Deceivingly Sweet

Skeptical when we first walked in; however, the longer we were there the better it got. Entrance stairs are steep and hard to maneuver large luggage for older folks, but once inside it couldn't be nicer!

If you plan to take in the sights, sounds, and food of Savannah then this is a perfect gem. If you want to stay in and enjoy the view from afar, you need something else. Walking distance to everything.

Owner's Response: Thank you for mentioning the view. It is an interior apartment so the windows look out into the middle of the building. There is a fire escape with two chairs for sitting outside or smoking. We price our unit due to the stairs and the interior view.

Car: not necessary

Situated half a block from historic Green Square to the west and the quaint Cha Bella restaurant to the east, this location is perfect for walking all around town. Only two blocks south of Broughton Street and a three minute walk to Bay. There is free off street parking around the immediate area so you can arrive, park and never worry about the car until you leave.
