As you drive into the MacGregor Ranch to this 3 Bedroom, 2 bathroom mountain cabin that sleeps 6, the history of Estes Park and the ranch, the wildlife and the magnificent views of the Rockies form a harmony and tranquility that only this area can provide. The famous hike, Gem Lake Trail (part of the National Park) is a 10-minute walk away. Horse back riding is also close-by. There is plenty of land to explore and enjoy or you can just sit and take it all in.
This rustic cabin property is secluded and inviting and includes many areas to relax and unwind from your travels. There are rock outcroppings to enjoy and climb and even larger rocks that provide seating, along with outdoor furniture for dining and gatherings. PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS NO GAS GRILL.
As you enter this cabin with knotty pine walls and mountain furnishings, you realize that you have surely arrived in the Rockies. Your mountain adventures begin here. The kitchen is equipped with items to create a simple breakfast or a 6-course Thanksgiving dinner. From a Keurig coffeemaker and Black and Decker drip coffeemaker, to bowls, a mixer and crockpot; everything is right at your fingertips.
The main level offers a bedroom with a gorgeous Queen bed made of mixed woods and a matching mirror. There is ample space with a chest of drawers and a large closet. Just around the corner is the guest bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
The Great Room opens to a large dining room and living room. The dining table can comfortably seat 6 or 8. The sliding doors open to the deck, more seating and stunning views of Longs Peak, Twin Sisters and the mountains of the Continental Divide. A 7 foot stuffed bear welcomes you to this cabin.
The cozy Living Room has a couch and matching armchair and 2 glider rockers. There is a flat-screen TV, DVD/CD Player and Cable for your enjoyment. This cabin also includes WIFI and a Weber gas grill.
The elk chandelier, warm lighting, wall decor and the Mr. Sheriff Stuffed Bear all add to the character and mountain ambiance of this living room and rustic cabin.
The second Queen bedroom is located off the living room, on the main level with knotty pine walls. It has a private entrance to the great outdoors and a bathroom complete with shower and washer and dryer.
On the second level is a large open loft. In this loft is a Queen bed. The TV here is provided only to watch movies. There are numerous novels and several games offered for your enjoyment. A desk is here, if needed. There is a full sleeper located in this loft as well.
The sliding glass doors to this upper deck provide light and amazing views and even more outdoor seating. From every window in this home is a picture-perfect landscape.
This cabin is located on the historic MacGregor Ranch. Its colorful history dates back to 1863 with stories of cowboys, ranchers and local squabbles and riffs. The Ranch still functions today.
This cabin is only 5 minutes to town and 15 minutes to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is warm, rustic and serene and offers the true Rocky Mountain experience. What a place to have a family vacation or a romantic escape.
