Watch the sun come up over the ocean with the twinkling lights of the Skyway and Tampa in the background while dolphins, manatees and sea rays of every size swim by the back door as you have your morning coffee.
This property made us all feel like celebrities! Breathtaking views of the bay and the Rod and Reel Pier. Both the interior and exterior were beautiful. The only problem was trying to choose between the relaxing pool/patio area at the front and the stunning ocean views and wildlife at the back. We saw lots of fish, birds, crabs and other sea creatures. We were also treated to several dolphin shows from the patio as they swam by hunting for dinner. The huge sliding doors that can be completely opened to the ocean view were a big plus. We watched the sunrise on the beach in our pj's while drinking coffee every morning and walked the beach to Bean Point for sunset every night. It is a short walk or bike ride to shopping and many amazing restaurants. Definitely a good idea to saunter over to the Rod and Reel Pier for breakfast or to the City Pier for dinner. Definitely plan a visit. You will not regret it!
We arrived at Breakaway and were blown away with the accomodations! Traveling with 2 other couples to celebrate various wedding anniversaries and had a great time at "home" and exploring the island. Very relaxing to sit and watch boats and dolphins going by on the bay and then take a swim in the pool or bay. Would definitely recommend to anyone, families, couples, etc and we are already working on future dates to return to Breakaway. Thank you!
We had an amazing vacation at Breakaway in Anna Maria Island. Home was incredible, beautiful layout, steps away from ocean with breathtaking views. It was a very relaxing vacation everything you could possible need is either at house or on the Island. There is a free trolley which takes you around Island to beaches, grocery stores , restaurants etc.. . I cant say enough good things about Breakaway. We cant wait to go back.

Everything you need is here so kick back and never leave the property, or go off exploring one of the quaintest little areas you will ever encounter. Here there is something good for everyone and the peaceful feeling that resides on this property will remain with you long after you leave. 'Breakaway' and experience something really special.
This house is a rare case where the pictures do it justice. It is really a perfect beach house mere steps from the ocean. While there we witnessed both dolphins and manatees swimming right in back of the house. You can literally swim right off of the patio!
The location of this property is equally splendid. The beautiful Bean Point is within walking distance to the north--as is Anna Maria beach and pier to the south. The marvelous Rod and Reel Pier, featuring wonderful, fresh seafood, is a stone's throw away. The views of the Florida coast and Sunshine Skyway Bridge at night are breathtaking.
Also convenient is the Breakaway's proximity to Pine Street. On Pine Street is a General Store, restaurant and shopping options, and Beach Bums--which will deliver bikes and kayaks right to your door (we kayaked around Bean Point!). While visiting Pine Street make sure to drop in on The Waterfront Restaurant which features some of the best food on the island.
All in all, I could not picture a more perfect beach house in a more perfect location. Each morning we cooked breakfast and enjoyed it out on the picnic table on the patio while getting ready for our day: There's not a better table at any restaurant on the island for ocean-side dining. Each evening we went to the other side of the island to watch the beautiful sunsets. Traveling from the sunrise side to the sunset side takes about five whopping minutes. We already miss both Anna Maria Island and The Breakaway...

I am generally not a big Florida fan...but this is another world all together...once you arrive you don't need a car, rent a bike it's all bikable...groceries, great resturaunts,coffee houses,art galleries,quaint shops...very bohemian. The house is built on a wall between two piers the tide goes in and out...great eye candy...you feel like your on a boat!.,.there is a fantastic sandy beach you can walk to in minutes...then you can can take a good long walk along the ocean....no highrises!... stayed for a week...can't wait to get back...!
