Fully furnished and functional 2-story home a few blocks from Green Lake and 1.2 miles from the UW. Perfect for 2 families, team, wedding party because both floors are self-contained but connected by an interior stair case. Free Street parking 24/7, and a few blocks from bus transportation in all directions. Easy bike to UW campus, Woodland Park Zoo, lots of ethnic restaurants, coffee shops, lakeside bars, and recreational opportunities for all ages at Green Lake.
We do have a security camera at each entrance. No viewing of cameras is done during guest stay. We find that the camera discourages people from taking delivered Amazon boxes from our porch, or lawn equipment stored in our back yard.

Great location okay house
We booked this house because of its size (4 bedrooms) and location (in a nice neighborhood near downtown Seattle). Both were correct--easy transport to everywhere--we tended to use Uber pool but the bus was frequent. Easy access to lots of restaurants and stores. The common areas of the house were perfect. Lots of space to have everyone meet up, plus a second kitchen if couples want to make their own breakfast. The beds were comfortable, though sheets only okay.. So those are all the pros. However in our view there were some problems. First, the place was not cleaned when we arrived. The positive was that the host was very responsive when that happened and said it was the first time ever. The cleaner came over right away and cleaned the sheets etc while we were there. Not ideal but at least it happened. The set up of the bedrooms is strange. In the front bedroom upstairs, the currents are thin and the outdoor lights shine through. We are light sensitive so we had trouble sleeping. One night the cleaner came by at 11 and dropped off paper goods that set off bright lights and woke us up. There is a mattress in the closet (which if you wanted to somehow fit another person is good) but for us it meant that it blocked the closet and made it difficult to hang up your clothes. there were no place to put clothes that you didn't want to hang up so we had to live out of our suitcases. There was sufficient space for inexpensive chests of drawers so I found this puzzling. The downstairs bathroom is actually in one of the bedrooms so the other couple sharing this space had to come upstairs to our bedroom. Finally, I found the contract unwelcoming. We were told we were supposed to strip the beds when we left--okay when we used to pay $60 for cleaning on VRBO but this property charged us $160 to clean the house. It also said we would be charged $30 if we didn't properly separate our waste into compost etc with no directions on how to do that (sorry but we do not live where compost is mandatory.. and our daughter-in-law composts everything on her farm but others compost only veges... so ultimately would I stay here again.. maybe but I'd look elsewhere first.
Thank you for submitting your review. We were startled that our 2 cleaning supervisors mixed schedules - totally our fault, but as mentioned it was thoroughly cleaned within 2 hours, while guests were out for the evening. This is a host''s nightmare and unfortunately after 9 years as host to hundreds of renters, it happened. As for the other issues, I'm a bit surprised and confused: lighting, closets/dressers/hangers, cleaning. There are low wattage bedside lights in every bedroom, and very little light shines through the curtains and draw shades. We will review. All the closets are spacious with ample hangers; the roller bed is on casters can can be rotated to take no more than 2 of the 10 feet of space. Cleaning fee is appropriate for a large house with 4 bedrooms that accommodates 10 people using towels, etc. City code requires that trash be separated, and greening is a good idea. The dressers are all custom made antiques with spacious drawers. The downstairs bathroom is adjacent to both bathrooms and utility for convenience - and has two doors partitioning the spaces. With guests occupying each bedroom, there was easy and sepate access to the downstairs bathroom and no need to go upstairs. Both bathrooms are full size and in good repair with vanities for spreading out. We offered to find the guests another home soon after their arrival but they expressed a desire to stay because the home is so lovely. All said, it was our mistake for the delay.in cleaning for which we made an immediate remedy.
Stay Here!!!!! You will be happy that you did.
The overall experience was great. Jim (the owner) is exceedingly prompt in getting back with answers to questions, whether it's prior to making a reservation or once you are at the house.
The house was perfect for our party of 9 people and it has room for more. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. The most important thing however is Jim delivers what he says.
Jim's house will be our first choice every time we are in Seattle. Everything went well.

Great location for a large group!!
We were in town for a wedding, with 8 adults staying here. We had plenty of room for all of us. Very clean & comfortable. Other than toiletries the unit had everything we needed. Owner was very easy to work with.
Location is very convenient to downtown Seattle. We highly recommend staying here and if ever back in Seattle we will stay here again!!
great location and bright, airy home
House is located within easy walking distance of the bus to downtown Seattle. The upstairs area is bright and sunny, with lots of airy windows. It's like 2 separate 2-bedroom apartments, connected by interior staircase which can be locked from either side. We left the door open. We used 2 upstairs bedrooms, and one downstairs; each bedroom had a queen size bed. Washer/dryer units were both upstairs and down. We used the kitchen upstairs, and found everything we needed. I would stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The owner, Jim, was helpful and responsive to my many questions.
The kitchens were stocked with everything we could need including coffee and other essentials.
As we were there during a major heat wave if I had to make just one suggestion it would be to provide air conditioning. The heat was almost unbearable but that's not Jim's fault. There are fans in each bedroom that we loved to the living areas when were using them and survived that way :)
I highly recommend this home for families or groups. Thanks so much!
Stayed with 3 friends for almost a full week. Home was comfortable with enough space for everyone. Great location, easy access to downtown and other happening areas. Parking was available on street. Owner was available to contact when needed and to answer questions. Thanks!
3 Blocks to Green Lake and Woodland Park. Have fun: walking, riding, skating, rowing, sailing, kayaking, swimming, playing basketball, tennis, or 9-hole mini golf.
