Gorgeous new architect designed and appointed is the ultimate luxury 1 bedroom.
I'm a Pittsburgh native who's been in Virginia Beach since 1985. Mostly retired, I spend a lot time playing Pickleball, traveling, working in the yard and just enjoying life with my Norwich terrier.

Why Owner chose Virginia Beach
This property is truly unique for Virginia Beach. We're part of a large equestrian community with a minimum lot size of 6 acres per house. That leaves a lot of breathing room between neighbors. Back here you'll see more horses than people. The critters treat it as an oasis as well and it's common to see all kinds of animals. We're on a gravel road without streetlights or other light pollution but we're also just a mile or so away from great restaurants, Starbucks, and all the typical big box stores etc. The city has quite literally been built around us. There are 4 great beaches 5-10 miles away. Sandbridge Beach has a residential feel similar to the Outer Banks, Croatan is also a beautiful beach with public parking nearby. The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is just 5 miles away. Finally the North End beaches are gorgeous, wide and generally lightly peopled.

The property was better than described online and went above our expectations. The property owners were very friendly and made our stay easy and carefree. Situated near a horse farm and petting zoo, the location made for a wonderful backdrop. The owners have 2 donkeys (Jose and Jack) on the property with access to feeding them. This was a wonderful bonus and made us feel like we had our own personal petting zoo. There is a pond clean enough to swim in, with a screened in gazebo to BBQ. Also included are a pickleball court, fire pit, and an available organic vegetable garden from which guests are welcomed to pick produce. The loft was very clean and modern, with most amenities that you would need (important to remember it is an upstairs loft). The property is only 8 miles from Virginia Beach (approximately 15 minutes); it is also reasonably close to Sandbridge Beach, which is less busy than Virginia Beach. We highly recommend this property for individuals who are looking for a convenient location that is removed just far enough from the busiest tourist activities and restaurants.
This is a beautiful property! My husband and I stayed here, because we love architecture and this property looked so interesting and unique. I had to see it for myself! The owners thought of every detail, and it really wasn’t far from everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recomended it!
Modern loft review
My friend and I stayed in this beautiful loft and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The place was immaculately clean and obviously a great deal of time was spent on the design and creation of the space. Other guests were staying in the lower level, but we never heard them and found the area to be very peaceful and quiet. It was a short drive to the main beach (approx. 10 min). I would recommend this place to anyone who asked and would definitely go back.
Best Stay Ever!!!
1. We came for a festival and didn’t want to stay by all the chaos so the location was perfect!!! The views are also beautiful from the loft.
2. We were surprised with a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift that was accompanied by a well written personalized welcome letter!
3. Everything we needed was provided with out needing to ask I.e. towels, plastic cups, cooking utensils and a portable grill!
Not to mention the layout of the loft is beautiful and clean!

The surprises kept coming. All good ones!
It's hard to describe this place. There's just so much that sets it apart from anywhere I've stayed in the US. Firstly, the location is really unique. It sits far away from any other houses in an idyllic field reached by driving down a long gravel road. Certainly not like the rest of VIrginia Beach in that regard. The home is also not like a traditional home. It's way better. The foyer is the only room on the ground floor but it's a doozy. There are 2 beautiful art pieces of Koi fish, an old church pew and a wall of live orchids. Up a flight of steps, I'm greeted by this wide open space with stunning views off the front. The kitchen alone is a show stopper. It looks brand new and straight out of Dwell magazine. The host Bill had left me a nice note on the counter with a small canister of Virginia peanuts and a six-pack of locally brewed beer in the cooler. Much appreciated!
It was a tad chilly during my stay but the home has a lovely electric fireplace that put off nice heat and was pleasant to watch. I grew enamored of just looking out the enormous front windows to the garden below and further off a lovely pond.
One of the cooler bits of this home is some barn doors separating the living space from the bedroom. When I shut the doors I was surprised to see an image of a hummingbird appear. The panels of the door being drilled in such a way that the light coming through creates the bird and a flower. Wow! From the bed, one can even see the sunrise over the yard in front.
The bathroom has a glorious, large shower and just down the hall is a full sized washer and dryer.
The biggest surprise though is the space at the back of the home. Through a glass door is a combination of indoor/outdoor space like nothing I've seen before. It's like an outdoor living room with a glass garage door that opens to a very restful wooded scene. The room faces west and I witnessed a very showy sunset whilst enjoying one or two of those local beers. The room also has another electric fireplace the combination of that with a sudden rain shower was delightful. This room also has a basic outdoor kitchen with cooler, sink and grill.
All of this and more has me looking for an excuse to make another trip to Virginia Beach so that I can properly enjoy all this property has to offer. Cheers Bill for doing great work.
