Immensely convenient surroundings. We're situated just off the corner of William & Franklin St right opposite Queen Victoria Market and only a short 2min stroll to the tram stop on William St and an 8min walk to RMIT or Melbourne Central with access to everything all under the one roof.
You're only a 10min walk from QV, Emporium, Myer, David Jones, Chinatown, Swanston St and more.
Easy. Surrounded by trams, cabs, buses & trains, it makes getting in, out & around the city extremely convenient.
If you're not a fan of walking, there's a tram stop at the corner of Franklin & William St, only a 2min walk from us.
Most importantly, all trams within the city grid are FREE. Just look out for the "FREE tram zone" signs.
No problems hitching a cab or getting on a bus on William St if you would like to head out of the city.
If you plan to take the train, Melbourne Central railway station is just an 8min walk from us.
If you drive, the nearest paid open air parking lots are available right outside the building. The nearest undercover secured parking lot is located at Wilson Parking, 380 La Trobe St which is about a 5min walk from us. Alternatively you may look online for other suitable parking options.
If you just need to park your car temporarily for an hour or so, then you may observe the paid street parking signs around us.
TIP: Parking in Melbourne city is extremely expensive! You'll be lucky to get away with AU$40 a day for parking. Try not to drive if you can cos you're in the FREE tram zone and public transportation in the city is just amazingly convenient. If you "REALLY" need to drive, the best tip I can give you is, rent a car from Avis, Europcar or Budget on Franklin St just a 7min walk from us, it will cost anywhere from AU$70 to AU$150 a day depending on what car you're looking for. Rent it for the days you need and drop it back at the depot when you're done. It's heaps better than paying for parking in the city, or Uber is also another economical option.
