About Karan Gilmour
Dave and I are ex RAF and have travelled extensively with our two children. We came to Australia 20 years ago and immediately loved Kalamunda region so we decided to settle here. There is so much to offer here in the Perth town site wonderful scenic vistas, beautiful country walks, historical interest and our very own Bickley Carmel Wine Region.
Why Karan Gilmour chose Kalamunda
This run down property caught my eye nearly 20 years ago and I had a vision, I knew I could change these 3 buildings into this homely beautiful place. We are close to all local amenities (country walks, cafes, restaurants, shops, library etc) and the schools we loved for our children, not too far from Perth city and the beach and of course the trees woodlands, forests and country feel about the place
What makes this Bed And Breakfast unique
The uniqueness of the old "Wood Cutters Cottage, the brick cottage and the railway carriages had an appeal to me for transforming into a modern day living area combined with the old. The buildings are now complete after years of renovations and after landscaping and terracing the gardens we now have a beautiful garden to share with our guests
