From studios to two-bedroom units with lofts, Der Steiermark has a long tradition of providing tremendous value and an excellent year-round location. The Quicksilver Super6 chairlift is a block away, providing easy access to the slopes. Main Street Breckenridge is just steps away with all the shopping and dining visitors could desire and perfect views of downtown parades and events all year long. Best of all, there are shops and Mi Casa restaurant (one of the best in town) right in the building. Guests will also appreciate the convenience of an on-site outdoor hot tub and secure heated underground parking garage. This exceptional Wyndham Vacation Rentals two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is our nicest in the Der Steiermark building. It covers just over 700 square feet over two levels and is located in the heart of Breckenridge, just short walk to the lifts. Guests can relax front of the wood-burning fireplace, watch one of three HDTVs with DVDs, enjoy the Bose stereo system or step out onto the balcony to take in the town views. The newly remodeled kitchen has stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinetry and an espresso maker to make all your favorite coffee drinks. A small dining area provides enough seating for everyone. Take advantage of a work space in the loft, wireless internet access and free long distance calling. Bedding includes a queen bed in both the master and the guest bedroom. A bunk bed is available in the loft for additional sleeping space.

This unit is NOT a vacation rental by owner. It is managed by an outside property management company. The check in experience was a nightmare. You have to check in at a busy hotel near the condo. I waited in line for 30 minutes to check in. Trying to park in the garage took about 15 minutes as the unit is in the same building as a busy restaurant. The driveway to the garage is very narrow (basically one way only) and people were coming out backwards onto the street and we were causing a traffic jam waiting to get in so we had to loop around a few times before we could get in.

We finally got to the condo at 5:30 pm (check in was at 4:00) and housekeeping was still there. The unit was not actually ready until 6:00 pm.

There is only one parking space for the unit. We were told we could park an additional car at a lot for $5.00 per night. This lot is a half a mile from the condo and there is no attendant on duty. You pay by credit card and it is actually $30.00 per night.

Unit was very tired and in need of new furniture, mattresses, bedding, etc. The stove is broken. We tried to cook something on the 6 setting and realized 20 minutes later that the burner was not on. Then we turned the burner off and it turns out off is actually on.

Aside from the good location this condo is a real disappointment!

Location is perfect ! Everything from board and ski rentals to food was walking distance. I would definitely return.

Perfect Location

Apartment was exactly as advertised and exactly what we were looking for. Unbeatable location, steps to main street and 5 minute walk to the lift at Maggie's. One parking spot for a 2 bedroom house is a bummer, but that is just how it goes with parking in Breckenridge. Would stay here again!

Great Location - Not a great property

Overall the location was amazing. Very centralized in town and also a pretty quick walk to the slopes. Overall the actual property was lacking. The condo has no dressers at all leaving you to figured out what to do with unpacking. The couch is old and doesn't pull out. The chairs near the fireplace don't recline. The kitchen is brand new and is actually quite nice. Also, the property needs a wood carrier of some sorts to gather a large amount from the garage. Better suited for friends rather than a family in my opinion. People that are not looking for a top notch property.
