About Ted B
I was brought up on the east coast with four seasons. Later moving to California to work as a physician, I had the good fortune to travel to Mariposa and Yosemite during the winter season to find a truly unique splendor. I decided that this was the ideal place to go for rest, while getting back in touch with nature.
Ted B purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Ted B chose Mariposa
This property is unique as it sits so quietly and privately surrounded by 40 acres of forest and fields at 3200 feet. Yet easily accessible from Route 49 only a mile away.

Last minute gold mine!
We had actually planned 3 days for Sonoma wine touring, but the fires caused us to rethink our vacation to the San Fran region. We pivoted to Yosemite with only 3 days remaining until our flight and immediately started looking for lodging...and this place was available...much to our surprise! Once here, we could not have found a better place that suited our needs and style preferences! Even with a year of planning, this would have been the best option! The small town of Mariposa is one more gem in this crown! The irony of the single downside of our stay was not being able to enjoy the outdoor fire pit due to the dry conditions of the region! The place is super clean, the decor is ideal, the bedding was very comfortable and the property manager was very accommodating! Owner Ted was quick to respond as well! Although a bit of a challenge to arrive in the dark, we woke up to a spectacular sunrise! We will recommend this place to all of our friends and would chose to stay here again in a return visit to Yosemite. Heck, we would live here in this home if we could! The craftmanship of the rebuild is impressive!
A quiet comfy clean cottage to recharge after a full day at Yosemite. The beds were super comfy, kitchen fully stock with cookware. The porch was a perfect place to sip on red wine and relax. Only disappointment was the no outdoor burn during our stay. Will stay here again, the family loved it, the kids enjoyed running around the property with our dog
This was a very clean updated house in a beautiful location.
Perfect Get a Way
My husband and our two, teenage, sons stayed here for MEA. Our destination was Yosemite and Tualome Meadows. We were all in need of some away time from our busy lives. The "cabin" as we called it was picture perfect in every way. Well built, interior design work is amazing-we all felt at home and pampered by the spa like linens-
Easy access to Mariposa was nice. We were close enough to enjoy the shops and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy the quiet spaces and deer that beded down near the front of the property. This cottage is a charming space. All the amenities you need. We were all sad to leave.
Hope it is still available when we visit that part of the country again.
Beatiful Rustic Cabin
This cabin is so darn beautiful. Very comfortable for our group and my cousins dogs. Everything you need is there. Due to fire danger we could not use gorgeous fire pit out doors. Totally understand why. Wasn't aware of long dirt road we had to drive down it was very dusty. No Direct tv as listed in description. But Netflix and other tv options were available. Connie the cabin contact was awesome, very helpful and available for questions via phone and text. Yosemite was an hour away, and what a beautiful drive to get there. Over all we, all 6 of us really enjoyed our stay here.
Great place to get away!
