The covered back patio is nearly the entire length of the home so has several gathering areas w/outdoor tables, chairs, BBQ grill w/propane tank and tools. The home has fantastic night views - look West for Phoenix city lights in the distance.
The property is exceptionally quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife all around. There are no fences in the neighborhood to limit animal travels. Small pebble rock driveway & guest parking area. 2 car garage has wall length storage cabinets, epoxy floor & water softener unit/hot water heater inside. Quail, birds, squirrels, rabbits, etc. regularly drink from the pond/waterfall outside the back door. Larger animals pass by from time to time. A major hiking trail into the Superstition Wilderness starts about 1/4 mile from the property. There is a large parking lot at the trail head as people often bring horses out to make the trek.

Because of the natural, desert landscaping w/many thorn covered plants and the various large wildlife who can walk across the open land at any time, we do not allow pets of any kind or size. Although it is generally true that the animals will run away when they see or hear people, it is also important that children not be left unattended outside. We have not had any issues, but previous visitors have seen bobcat, coyotes and deer drinking from our small backyard pond. It has been very dry the last few years and more wildlife are out looking for food and water so take leftovers inside when done eating. Wildlife is fun to watch, but it is best to be safe and not take any chances. Also, because of the dry climate, do not start a fire in the indoor Kiva fireplace. There is a clay Chiminea by the back patio for small ambiance fires.
