About The Owner

Andy & Beth are local residents of Tahoe who reside in the small community of Brockway, located near the casinos on the North Shore of Tahoe. Andy is a Fire Captain at a local Tahoe fire department, and Beth has been managing condos at Northstar since 2004 for their Lake Tahoe Mountain Vacations rental business. Andy also taught snowboarding at Northstar for over 15 years. We both feel very fortunate to live in such a wonderful area like Tahoe, and we enjoy exploring and discovering new things to do here. We are more than happy to answer questions for our Lake Tahoe Mountain Vacations guests.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

We live near Northstar in Tahoe, and have always wanted to enjoy the use of the Recreation Center facilities. After considering buying a vacation home for guest lodging, we decided Northstar was the best ski area in Tahoe for families and decided it was the best choice for us and our guests to use.

What makes this condo unique

Skiing right from the condo or being able to walk right down to the Village from our ski in/ski out condo is a real treat for you & your family. Once you stay in Ski Trails, you will not want to stay anywhere else at Northstar. And access to the Recreation Center with pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, gym, saunas, arcade, with everything you need for the whole family, is an added bonus!

Great ski in ski out!

  • 4 of 5

Loved that the trail was right behind the condo and about a 10 minute walk to the Village. Owners provided plenty of towels and a very comfy bed. However, the place definitely has an ant problem and the garbage disposal smelled.

Great location, Great condition and great communication

  • 5 of 5

Loved the location -actually could get on to condo run from outside this condo! And is a short walk to the village too. Everything was in great condition, with a well equipped kitchen. All linens towels etc were very clean. Absolutely enjoyed the stay!

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

I rented this condo as my first ski-in/ski-out experience a couple weeks ago. Finding the condo unit wasn't difficult and it was so clean and comfortable. It has pretty much everything we needed. I love that they provide avocado oil and salt/pepper as many rentals don't provide these essential things to prepare meals. I also love that they have ice scraper for your windshield. The owner was responsive and was a pleasure to work with. It was so great that we could still park there after check-out (so you can ski back to your car rather than moving to those visitor parking that requires shuttle). If anything, I'd suggest info on ski-in/ski-out routes. When I was there the condo run didn't have enough snow so you need to know where to stop and cross over from the village run. But even if you don't know the route, it's a short walk to/from village (look for the trail) and there's shuttle. One other minor suggestion is maybe leave a screw driver there. We didn't see one when we wanted to adjust our binding. Overall I'd recommend this condo and its so great to be "home" within minutes after hitting the slope.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We don't ask guests for reviews so we much appreciate it when our guests leave them! Also suggestions on how to make our guests' stays that much more comfortable and enjoyable is always appreciated. So, we will provide information on the ski run...during the ski season, guests can just walk out of the condo and put their skis on to ski or board right on Condo Run which is located right outside the condo. However, when snow is light, you have to walk a short distance over to Village Run. We will also put a handy tool kit for guests in the condo with a screwdriver and some other things we think they may need. We do try to provide for our guests things like Sharpie pens to mark their equipment, scissors, pliers, etc in addition to all the usual salt & pepper, basic spices, and more. Happy New Year!

Cozy and clean.

  • 4 of 5

Nice cozy, clean condo; perfect for my husband and I. Had some problems getting the lock box open, but other than that everything was great. First time to Tahoe, and Northstar was a lovely place to stay. Used the rec center pool, visited Starbucks each morning, drove around the lake and stopped at Sand Harbor, which is a great beach, and ate at a lot of wonderful restaurants. Also drove into Carson City and ate Salvadorian food and visited a museum.

Fantastic Condo in the Heart of Northstar

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for an extended weekend getaway from the rat race of everyday life.

Such a charming condo, with great amenities, style and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the heating worked well for the brisk mornings.

Fantastic location allowing for hiking from the front door, while having the Northstar village only footsteps away. And not to forget the convenient cable car up to the Ritz Carlton - although we chose to hike up instead and cable back down.

Highly recommended and we will be back soon.

Very close to Village

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for MLK weekend. There wasn't that much snow but we still had a good time. We hung out with friends that we ran into at the resort and skied a lot so we didn't get to use the rec center. I thought that there would be a slow cooker and at least salt and pepper because of the list from the owner's website. It wasn't a big deal I improvised. The shower was big. Bathroom was nice. Both the king size bed and the pull out sofa were really comfy. I liked that there were loads of pillows, towels, sheets and dish towels.

The owners were quick to respond when I realized the morning we left for Northstar that I had misplaced the parking pass. They also left a lot of good advice in the condo for places to eat and things to do.
