Affordable luxury at River Mountain Lodge

River Mountain Lodge is a non-smoking facility which offers 24-hour front desk service, and an inviting fireside lounge. There is a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool, and a total of FOUR indoor and outdoor hot tubs are available to guests. And there is also a sauna, a steam room, and a fitness center! (The fitness center even has a shower and changing area to clean-up after skiing, in case you have already checked out of the condo.) A ski closet offers complimentary ski, snowboard, and bike storage. And there are ski, bike, and video rental facilities right on site. There is even a bakery/restaurant onsite serving breakfast and fresh bread until 1:00 PM.

Park in the FREE, heated underground garage and you’ll have no need for your car for the rest of your stay; the condo is only an elevator ride away! Walk or take a shuttle anywhere.

The lodge is situated beside the beautiful Blue River, between and just steps away from both the Four O’clock ski run gondola, which is just across the street, and downtown Breckenridge which is across a picturesque walking bridge. We are also right next to the Breckenridge Event Center with all of its events, classes, and workshops.

Ski home for lunch or at the end of an exhilarating day. Catch the FREE shuttle at our front door to go to any of the other lifts in town, or even to other nearby resort towns: Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin. (Ski shuttles to Vail are also available.)

Our beautiful condominium, E220, is located on the second floor of the lodge. It offers all of the comforts of home, but with all of the amenities of the lodge (listed above.) This 260 square foot hotel-style room was recently remodeled and is non-smoking. It sleeps four in two queen beds.

It has its own kitchenette with a sink, microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator for easy breakfasts and lunches. You can decide to eat-in – a grocery store is just 3 blocks away - or walk downtown in minutes to enjoy dozens of restaurants and shops. The bathroom has a wall-mounted hair dryer.

In warm weather you can enjoy hiking and mountain biking on one of many trails, white-water rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing, or visit historical landmarks with 1800s Victorian charm. (Breckenridge is a REAL town, not just a resort.) There is a bike trail just a block away.

About John Robechek

We have owned this condominium, in partnership with Ingrid's brother Nils, for over 20 years. We are new to offering it for rent on VRBO, although we have been renting another property in Hilton Head, SC, for several years. (Ref: VRBO #436058.) Nils visits year-round, loving all of the available activities but especially skiing. We love Breckenridge in the early fall when the warm days and cool evenings make hiking so enjoyable.

Breckenridge is a beautiful, real, small town, not just a resort destination. We are located near River Park, just a half-block walk from downtown on a path along the Blue River and across a pedestrian bridge. River Mountain Lodge is a European-style lodge with hotel amenities: 24-hour front desk service, lounge bar, heated garage, WiFi, heated pool, multiple indoor and outdoor hot tubs, fitness room, steam room, sauna, sports shop, and restaurant.

Great location and good communication with owner

Married couple with daughter enjoyed our 3 day 3 night snowboarding vacation. The staff and owner were helpful and friendly. Room was nice and beds were very comfortable A+. The location is perfect for slope access and all the fun places to go in Breckinridge. We all agreed it would be hard to find a better location . The door to the room did not soften the sounds from the hallway this was annoying a few times during our stay. For those in a long stay be aware there are no laundry facilities in the building. Garage parking was great.

Everything was perfect.

My 75 year old mom and I stayed just one night and we would most definitely choose to stay in this room again. The little kitchenette had a nice size coffee pot, dishes, silverware, and even a toaster. The beds and pillows were super comfy, which is always the most important to me.

The only thing that I would suggest is about check in. When we arrived, we weren't really clear about where to park while checking in. There wasn't a bike store to park by. There is a Christy sports, and that is where I guess you park, or even pull up in front of the building and leave your vehicle. They give you a parking pass for the basement parking at check in and then you will go and park. Parking is pretty tight.

The owner was easy to communicate with. He texted with his contact info in case we needed anything.

Overall, I highly recommend this room. Great location. Just a block from main st.

The location was excellent, the room was a bit small but very clean. Towels and linens need up grade

The property is in well maintained. The garage is a little tight but nice to have a under ground garage. Overall a great place I would come again but would choose a room with a balcony. Staff friendly and helpful!!

Owner's Response: We will talk to our cleaners about upgrading towels/linens. For the information of future guests: This room is the second bedroom of a larger condo. It can be locked-off from the main unit and rented separately. People who rent it in this configuration are looking for essentially a typical hotel-style room at a reasonable cost. Space is limited (especially for 4 guests), and the kitchenette is really only suitable for breakfast and re-heating restaurant leftovers. We offer the other side of the condo at VRBO 756941. It offers 2 balconies (!), a full kitchen, a laundry, and even a fireplace. Or you can rent the entire 2-bedroom condo at VRBO #754753.

Small Room

This room is exactly as it is stated in the listing. It is a hotel sized room with two queen beds, a small bathroom, mini fridge and small closet. Not a lot of extra room, but we didn't stay in the room as we were in Breckenridge to hike and golf. This building is older and it looks like they are doing some needed renovations. The owner notified us (in advance) that the elevator was being worked on and would not be in use during our stay, it did not cause us any problems. The building is in an ideal location to all things Breckenridge. That is the biggest plus about this room. The price was affordable and if you are only staying for a few days, this is a good place to stay.
