This two bedroom, two bath house is approximately 1580 sq. ft., sits on approximately 2.5 fenced acres. The property has central air conditioning and heating, an open floor plan, and travertine floor throughout. If renting in the off season, the air conditioning is an especially nice feature.
The master bedroom is a generous size, with a comfortable king-size, pillow top mattress, ceiling fan, TV and a Jotul (Yodel) heater. The master bathroom has granite counter tops, dual vanities, and a large shower and plenty of bath sheets. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a large guest bath with a Jacuzzi soaking tub and extra towels/bath sheets. The kitchen has generous storage, with hickory cabinets, granite counter tops, large refrigerator and a gas range. The living room has a wood burning fireplace that can easily heat the entire home during the winter, or if you prefer, there is central heating. The living room has a large, 60" flat screen TV (not shown in pictures) with local available channels and a DVD player. Finally, there is a large covered patio where you can BBQ, enjoy a glass of wine, take in the spectacular sunsets, observe the numerous birds, or marvel at the Milky Way stretching across a dark sky.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, as the property is fully fenced and there is no carpet in the house. There is a 6 x 12' covered kennel in the back yard with a dog house inside. There are also two covered horse stalls, with 20' run-outs, if you would like to bring your horses. Access to the national forest is a 15 minute walk/ride from the house. If you will be bringing your horse(s), there is an additional fee of $125 per month per horse, or $40 a week.
The Sonoita/Elgin area is known for its wineries, hunting, ranching and dark skies. Patagonia Lake is a 25 minute drive, and Parker Lake is about 45 minutes away. Patagonia is also well known for exceptional bird watching and hiking. Sierra Vista is 35 minutes to the east and has shopping, dining or movies. Or, you can visit the historic towns of Tombstone, Tubac or Bisbee. Both Tubac and Bisbee are home to a large artist community and have many unique stores. Additionally, the impressive Colossal Cave and Kartchner Caverns are about 35 minutes away.
The house, and kitchen are well-stocked. No additional kitchen items should be needed. The laundry room comes with laundry detergent and dryer sheets so you can do your laundry before you leave. It is our desire that you have the best experience possible and we will accommodate you as much as possible.
Due to the nature of communications here, we ask that you notify us and make you make your reservation at least 5 days in advance, to give us time to craft a rental agreement addressing each renter's individual needs, (pet/no pet, long-term vs .short term, etc.) and give us time to send/receive it. We regret that we cannot entertain last-minute renters.
