Everything you need for your stay!

  • 5 of 5

We just completed our weekend at this property and loved every minute of it! The house is spacious and clean and provides everything you need for your stay. It is conveniently located on the water with a gorgeous view of the Mackinac Bridge. Mackinac city is a three minute drive!

Of note: The half bath upstairs is inside a bedroom so other guests will have to walk in your bedroom to utilize it at night.

The grill is spectacular and so is the fire pit where we spent a lot of time.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook, bake and prepare wonderful meals.

We will return!

So many thanks!

Breathtaking views!

  • 5 of 5

The view of Lake Michigan and Mackinac Bridge are breathtaking. Our family of 7 totally enjoyed our stay. They were able to go swimming in the Lake and look for rocks. Listening to the waves was so peaceful. We did have a problem with the hot water not working, but they sent a plumber that very day even though it was Sunday, and it was fixed. The BBQ grill really didn't work and the place could use some large frying pans and a colander. We made it work. The house is spacious and clean. We would definately go back. We want to do our annual family vacation here again next year. We just loved this place!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback and - we were able to rectify all of your concerns. We have purchased additional pots and pans; the hot water heater was repaired; a wonderful guest was able to fix the propane grill - thank you Jon - and we added a colander and some measuring cups. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Regards, Diane

Sitting looking at the bridge made it all worth while.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week in early June. The location was absolutely amazing. Just as described. I spent hours sitting lakeside watching water and bridge. We had 5 people staying in house and were very comfortable. Being so close to downtown Mackinaw city was very wonderful, we could run into town for a meal and go right back to house. Owners father stopped in to check that everything was okay early in week, which we appreciated. The neighbors were very friendly and quiet. None of us wanted to leave when the week was done.

A perfect peaceful and relaxing location!

  • 4 of 5

With bikes it was easy to ride into town the "back way" and miss most traffic. Clean and home like. With all bedrooms upstairs and the bunk beds it would be great for families with kids. If you are looking for a quiet and friendly area this is it. We will check this property first when we want to return to Mackinaw City!

Beautiful lakeview cottage that handled our 2 families very well

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion in Mackinaw City last week. The family-owned cottage certainly couldn't handle all of us, so my sister and I found this cottage on VRBO to share. It worked very well for our stay and it was two short blocks from our family cottage. The kitchen was very useful, as it was certainly much larger than what we're used to having at Mackinaw. The bathroom configuration seemed a little odd to me, as there were no showers upstairs. It worked fine as there were two showers on the main level. And a full size washer and dryer! I did not miss the laundromat visits required by our usual place. Beautiful lake and bridge view. They had a nice swing and outside seating. We did take advantage of the metal fire circle (not sure the usual terminology) for making smores. The yard had some very nice shade trees so we spent a fair amount of time sitting outside catching up with relatives. The property was clean and well-maintained. Very impressive WiFi speed at the cottage. We didn't use the TV, but we did take advantage of the WiFi.
