Great House, comfortable and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Large, well furnished, and comfortable house with all the amenities located on one of the tahoe keys inlets.

Inside the house is very Child / Toddler friendly, and outside it's the same.

The backyard is gated in from the water, and the 2nd story patio is enclosed.

Owner was very easy to work with and responsive.

Would stay here again.

Wonderful house for 8.

  • 5 of 5

This two story house in the Tahoe Keys offered all the amenities one would want for a group of eight or nine. Three of the bedrooms slept two, while one with a bunk bed could sleep three. Three of the bedrooms were on the first floor and the master bedroom on the second.

The second floor was an open living room and kitchen that opened out on to a deck. It was nice to have a dinning table that could seat as many as 10. The large sectional couch could seat 8. The kitchen was very nice, having all you would need for cooking. The offer of being able to use the pantry was very welcomed. So often you forget and don't want buy the "little things" you may need. The five burner gas stove was much appreciated. The large side by side refrigerator had more than enough space. It's ice maker and water dispenser were used a lot. We never ran out of ice.

The deck was large. It had a table for 8 and a Weber 3 burner bar-b-que. Both of which were well used. The view was of a water way that makes up the Tahoe Keys. You looked down on the boat dock the house has. The owner's let you use paddle board, small two person pedal boat and a two person canoe. Members of our party fished for crabbie and crawdads.

Since we were there for the opening of the Olympics we appreciated the nice sized TV for viewing the opening ceremonies and games at night.

Everyone found their beds very comfortable. So much so some members of our party slept two to three hours more than they usually do. The cold mountain air may have helped. Two of the first floor bedrooms had their own little patio off of them to enjoy.

The only possible negative is the stairs that are required to get into the house and from the ground to second floor. They have to be taken into account if you have someone with a disability in your party.

The Tahoe Keys marina, shops and restaurants were about a hundred yards walk away.

All of us agreed that we would gladly rent this house again. It is a house that you could easily just stay at and relax. Yet have much of what Lake Tahoe has to offer close at hand.

Everything you want, nothing you don't

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in July 2016 and were 8 family members.

This house is large, newly renovated and extremely well maintained and cleaned.

We really felt like we were staying with friends, although of course they weren't there.

Everything is fully stocked, kitchen, fridge, linens, towels etc. etc. Spare propane tank for the grill, wood for the fire.

Everything worked.

Location is great, close to Camp Richardson and a short drive to town.

I really have no negatives.

Great home

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was very well stocked for the guests convienence. Lots of family games and even had sleds there for the kids to play and bicycles for a ride. Large home in a great location and Katherine was a pleasure to work with. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the other guests complained that the beds were not comfortable and the ones that got the pull out sofa bed opted for the couch and floor instead due to comfort. I was lucky enough to get the master which had an awesome bed! We would love to stay again in the future and believe me that the pictures do not do the home justice. The only thing i could suggest that this home did not have: the last rental home we stayed in had a binder the owners made with places to see, reasturants to eat at with the menus inside, locations of stores and even the spots to play. This is not needed but would be a lovely add for people like myself who have never been to lake tahoe. Again, beautiful and comfortable home and would highly recommend!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I was surprised to hear that the guests that slept in the downstairs king room found the bed uncomfortable. It was purchased four months ago from Sleep Train. It is a firm mattress because that is what our co-owners asked for, however, I slept in it last night and found it to be a comfortable bed. Our plan is to replace the sofa sleeper in the spring with a bunk bed set to better accommodate our grandchildren. Having a binder is a good idea and I will definitely follow up on that.
