Pam and Mike Cruey
About Pam and Mike Cruey
Mike and I met in 2000 here in the Harrisburg area and we have been inseparable ever since. Mike is originally from northern Kentucky, and I grew up Northwest of Pittsburgh. We both love the outdoors, and have our own house just down the road from this cottage. We have horses, bees, chickens, and our dogs Elvis, Roscoe and Daisy - a menagerie of furry friends that keep us busy and entertained. Our blended family of four children are all grown, and now we have the pleasure of enjoying our four grandchildren, Levi, Norah, Evelynn Josephine and Benson. Mike served in the US Army for 20 years and we proudly offer a military discount to our guests who are currently serving in the military or are retired from service. Please inquire about our military discount!

Why Pam and Mike Cruey chose Dauphin
When we built our own house in 2007 and first moved to the River Road area, we fell in love with this cottage when we would walk past it. It was of course owned at that time by someone else, but we talked about how lovely it would be to own it ourselves one day. The house was originally built in 1939 as a summer home for a Harrisburg family and is filled with character! The wood work throughout the house and fabulous deck out back intrigued us, and we knew it would be a great place to entertain. When it went up for sale, we made an offer on day one! We knew we could give this cottage what it needs - some time/attention, a little love, and fill it with people who would enjoy the river and the relaxing peace this cottage has to offer. We hope that you enjoy this cottage as much as we do!

Perfect Cabin Weekend
This little cabin is a diamond in the rough! The land the property is on is nothing short of perfect. Direct river access, a grill for cooking, a firepit for smores, kayaks for enjoyment, I could go on. We were a group on guys on a reunion weekend, and it was perfect - so perfect I would easily come back with my wife for the weekend just us or make it a couples weekend. The hosts are friendly, responsive and easy to work with. Can not recommend this house enough.
Relaxation at the River Cottage
Wonderful stay at the Susquehanna River cottage. This was our families second stay here. There have been many improvements including a big table with seating for a family group. The front porch with the view of the river was so relaxing. Our adult kids enjoyed the kayaks and floating on the tubes tied to the dock. I would highly recommend this home to all who enjoy the river and tranquility of nature.
Great family time!!!
Decided to do a family trip and this place was awesome. It has a cabin feel with a lot of indoor/outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained. The inside was very roomy and had different areas to hang out in. We would definitely recommend the place and would return if ever in the area. The owners were awesome. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!
Fantastic Family Trip to Hershey Park
This cottage is awesome. Beautiful river views whether you're sitting on the covered porch, on the patio or in the dining room. Plenty of space for our family of eight. Getting to Harrisburg or Hershey Park is an easy 20 minute drive.
Pam and Mike are very friendly, generous and welcoming. We would book this cottage again without hesitation.
Wonderful home owned by wonderful hosts
This property and the owners are magnificent! The home sits right on the river, and Mike and Pam have an abundance of water sport supplies. The home is charming, clean, and well stocked with everything you could desire in a kitchen. This would be a fabulous choice for any vacationers. The location is top notch!
